The current roster only has one player, McKenzie, that is ANY threat to outrun or take it to the house. While the WR group is strong YAC are low. Some of it could be due to the lack of crossing patterns the Bills ran this year. However, speed at RB and WR is lacking. Lastly, we finally have a QB that can throw the ball. We could “use” an infusion of speed on offense however, scoring hasn’t been our issue.  We NEED a difference maker at DE, an impactful LB and another top CB.  Offense needs a stronger IOL and a running back that is a better runner than our QB.

IMO, I want Beane to be aggressive this offseason and get some difference makers. Make some deals, trade for some proven talent or FA’s and then supplement remaining lower needs in the draft. This is a huge offseason for the Bills if they want to hoist a SB trophy.  Please don’t stand idle.

How about John Ross, guy was a 4.2ish guy, 1st round pick, very little production.

Been keeping an eye on him since his Cincy time. Love the speed. Had issues tracking the ball but made a lot of improvements in that area. With the Giants now and just can't stay out of the trainers room. Been the story of his career. Shame too, he has game-changing speed when healthy.

Yeah, the first priority is whether or not he's actually a good football player.  Otherwise, it doesn't matter how fast he is.

That being said,  I think they do need to try to find someone that has the speed to make plays after the catch,  whether it's McKenzie or someone else.

How was Tyreek Hill a 5th round pick?

He had off-field issues.  I think he originally went to a power five school, got kicked out and ended up at West Alabama...

It's crazy a player like Elijah Mitchell was there until the 6th round. Blazing speed.

A 5’10 200# RB with 4.3 speed should’ve definitely been on Beane’s list last draft. Especially when we were rumored to take a faster back like Etienne. I wonder what he and the league didn’t like about Elijah. Is the reason he lasted until the 6th round incompetence?

Goodwin has/had a pretty decent career for a mid-round pick. 9 years in the league. He had almost 1000 receiving yards one year for SF. Not great. but above average for draft position.

How about Bob Hayes, one time world fastest human. Great player

Speed alone does not get it done. Marquise Goodwin had one of the NFL’s fastest 40 times but his durability was questionable during his Buffalo Bills time. As Beane said in his press conference, “track stars are not necessarily football players.”

Tyreek Hill is a matchup challenge but it is not due to speed alone.

Also remember that the Bills have Marquez Stevens 100 percentile three cone drill on the roster. He does not have the 40 of Tyreek  but he has speed and shiftiness that is combined considered other worldly.

You have to wonder if the Bills have on their roster already or will identify a matchup nightmare in this year’s draft.

He also had a Walmart bagger at QB

The difference is Hill is a football player with unmatched speed and great football instincts. That is almost impossible to find.

Does Stevenson look like he has that when he repeatedly runs into the backs of his own blockers on kickoffs?

Diggs and Davis can’t outrun anyone? I saw plenty plays over the past 2 seasons that contradicts this!

Domestic assault conviction

Stillwater police records indicate that on December 12, 2014, Hill was arrested on complaints of assault of his 20-year-old pregnant girlfriend, Crystal Espinal. The police report states that the two got into an argument and he threw her around "like a ragdoll", punched her in the face, sat on her and repeatedly punched her in the stomach, and choked her.[94] Oklahoma State dismissed him from the football team after the charges.[95]

Hill eventually pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation and was sentenced to three years of probation, an anger-management course, a year-long batterer's program, and was required to undergo a domestic-abuse evaluation, a sentence that Espinal was consulted about and said she was comfortable with.[24][96] Espinal eventually gave birth to a boy.[21][97]
