Big Turk Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 (edited) Lots of starters on their roster are UFA's, especially on D. That extra 3rd round pick could come in handy for them. Edited January 26, 2022 by Big Turk 2 1 2 Quote
Motorin' Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 There are some significant players on that list. 3 Quote
BuffaloRebound Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 (edited) The cap is just an excuse not to spend money or go all in. KC goes all in. They’ll figure out way to make it work cap-wise. Edited January 26, 2022 by BuffaloRebound 5 4 1 Quote
NewEra Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 They’ll lose some good talent for sure. They’ll also restructure and kick money down the road to keep the guys they feel that they can’t afford to lose 1 2 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 Meh. They need to re-sign Orlando Brown, and they will. Other than that, guys are replaceable. This past offseason they replaced all 5 offensive linemen and some defensive players and they were fine. The just beat us without Honey Badger. 1 2 1 Quote

The cap is going up a ton and they will tweak things to keep the handful of essential guys in the core and keep the machine rolling along. 1 Quote
CountDorkula Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 They are not losing Mahomes, Kelce or Hill. They are fine then. 2 2 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 I think the Bills should offer to pay the salary for the Chiefs to retain Sorenson. 1 1 3 Quote

You sound like the fans who were writing them off after we beat them in Oct, they will be fine and that is plenty of money when they restructure other contracts . Let's worry about how the Bills are going to get better. Like maybe upgrade the DC coaching spot 1 Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 Their depth has taken a hit every year. It'll weaken even more. They'll still have Mahomes, Kelce, Hill. We'll still have to score 35+ to win if we play in KC. Bills have to get the #1 seed next year. Quote

They went all in for Brees, and now the franchise is in shambles. 2 Quote

Billl Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 It’s all about drafting well. The Chiefs drafted 4 starters in 2020 (RB, LB, RT, and #1 CB) and 3 so far from 2021 (LB, C, G) without a first round pick. They’ve got a lot of expensive players, but they’re offset by young players on rookie contracts. Rosters get expensive when high draft picks don’t get a lot of snaps. Veach/Reid have done a good on getting day 1 starters despite not having a top 30 pick since Mahomes. 2 1 1 Quote

Honey Badger was pretty critical to their success during the season. They will probably find a way to get him back. 1 Quote

The salary cap keeps going up, and the team keeps replacing expensive veterans with cheap rookies which frees up money to pay for the stars. This season alone, there are 3 rookies who were opening day starters. It’s pretty easy to pay a veteran LT when the rest of the line is making peanuts. Mahomes, Kelce, and Hill are bargains. Paying big contracts only hurts when they under perform. Guys like Anthony Hitchens and Frank Clark have been problematic, but they will both be gone after this season. Put it this way. Hill, Kelce, and Bolton will have a combined hit of $31,000,000 next season at WR, TE, and MLB. Diggs and Edmunds will cost $32,000,000 at the same spots. Quote

I don’t know if you’ve recorded the games and are still trying to get caught up so I’ll try not to give too much away, but you might not want to write off their season just yet. 2 Quote

Who knows how much we pay Edmunds or if we move on from him? to many assumptions going on here.... Didnt anyone teach you what happens when we assume things? Quote
