The people protesting are idling workers. The left supports science, reality and common sense.

I love how it seems that no one on the left even knows what the term "Science" means.  I'll fill them in. Science often means a shitton of "we think........"

What ever happened to the days when Left leaning people were the ones supporting worker protests, and civil liberties? Since when did Leftists become the ones supporting Big business, censorship, and the Establishment?

I feel like I’m in the twilight zone...😉

It’s an interesting time to be sure.  In an era of increased emphasis on the rights of women and marginalized folks, Eminem (among others) is part of the greatest halftime spectacle of all time.  The Olympics are being held in one of the more restrictive countries on earth, with an ongoing humanitarian crisis and famous for re-education camps.  We watched cities burn, people victimized, property destroyed and portions of cities anschlaussed and leadership applauding and financially contributing to get perps back on the street.  These same folks losing it over some truckers peacefully protesting what they view as govt overreach.

You’re such a hypocrite

And here is where you explain…….

I take the same stance for anyone committing treason or affecting international relations.

You know the blockade of an international border is costing hard working Americans jobs and money right?

Now you care about jobs and working people? When they shut the country down, we’re you complaining then?
How about the southern border and the invasion of illegal aliens, who by the way are taking jobs from Americans which you feel so strongly about.
You are a partisan hack and a hypocrite as well. Thank God the people are starting to see who you and your little pals really are.

We’re nearing a million US deaths. Do you think none of them were workers? Do you think workers being forced to go into jobs aren’t concerned they could be added to that list? Maybe just people wearing a mask when you go into a place of business would help those workers fears.

You want to talk about supporting the workers. If you want to support the workers wearing a mask from day 1 is supporting them.

People from the Northern border take jobs too. Why are you singling out the southern border?

Plus I don’t know if you’ve seen America lately but you can’t go a block without seeing a help wanted sign. No one’s jobs are being taken.

MICHAEL WALSH: The Whole World is Watching.’

Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau has involved the 1988 “Emergencies Act,” which allows the central government to take “special temporary measures that may not be appropriate in normal times” in order to to crack down on the protest.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Monday he will activate rarely used emergency powers, including cutting off financing, to end protests that have shut some border crossings and paralyzed parts of the capital. The government, saying the protests were damaging the economy and Canada’s reputation as a reliable trading partner, introduced sweeping measures to support police forces and bring crowdfunding platforms under terror financing oversight.

The “Freedom Convoy” protests, started by Canadian truckers opposing a COVID-19 vaccinate-or-quarantine mandate for cross-border drivers, have drawn people opposed to Trudeau’s policies on everything from pandemic restrictions to a carbon tax. “The blockades are harming our economy and endangering public safety,” Trudeau told a news conference. “We cannot and will not allow illegal and dangerous activities to continue.”

“Dangerous activities” such as peaceful protest… not to mention “temporary measures” like “two weeks to flatten the curve…”

Back in the day, the comic strip Pogo, by Walt Kelly, was immensely popular. Perhaps its most famous moment came on April 22, 1970—the first Earth Day—when Kelly drew a poster depicting his title character, a possum, sadly contemplating a trash-strewn landscape and observing, “We have met the enemy and he is us.” The Left loved that sentiment then, and they love it now. Except that the players have switched sides.

And this time, the whole world is watching

I drove by a U-Haul place today that has had Help Wanted $16.00 on their sign for a while.  Today it said, Help Wanted $16.00 per hour. Start today.  Paid today."

There is no empirical evidence that masks have slowed the spread of Covid. If someone wants to be "safe" they need to wear an N95 mask, socially distance, and not worry about what others do. Making others change behavior to assuage the paranoia of the deluded is not a practical idea, nor is it beneficial to the paranoid.

Trudeau's plan evidently just boils down to "steal their money so they give up." He's arrived at this last resort (which took a month to formulate, apparently), because police won't arrest the truckers, tow drivers won't tow them, and presumably the military won't open fire on them (in fact, the military refusing orders to open fire on their own citizens is one of the biggest harbingers and last steps of regime collapse, Trudeau shows good judgment not pivoting to this).

Bankers (usurers), on the other hand, are glad to steal your money. Lesson in there.
