MJS Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 I think Bills fans should go seek out some comments from other fanbases and national sources. Bills fans are demoralized after the loss, but this was a game that amazed everyone outside of Buffalo. Here are some fun comments that I found on highlight videos from the game: "This game was insane! Both teams crushed it and should be proud. Definitely one that we will all probably keep going back to and rewatching." "There’s no doubt that these two Quarterbacks will meet each other again in the postseason. What a heck of a game!" "I’m not even a bills or a chiefs fan but this was an amazing game. I felt so sorry for Allen after the bills lost. Gonna be an exciting rivalry" "I’m a jag fan, but this had to be the best week of football I’ve seen in a long time…hats off to all the teams and Josh Allen keep ya head up..you may have lost the game but you won everyone’s respect💯" "This is the new Brady vs Manning. The best QB duel I've ever seen, incredible play from both Mahomes and Allen. Sad there could only be one winner in this game!" "The new brady vs manning rivalry has been born for these two future greats in 2022. This one will be an all time great playoff game to be remembered LITERALLY FOREVER. It was like watching a 26 year old Goku Mahomes against a 25 year old Vegeta Allen 🔥 and for Patrick to stop everything he was doing post game to go hug Josh is what makes this generation of AFC QB1s perhaps the greatest of the past 15 years. Congrats to both organizations, DEFINITELY miss Sean McD in Carolina and Andy Reid is the most celebrated coach not named bellich on the game today, hopefully buffalo will get a ring in the near future as dominant as KC has been." "This game is game of the year. The Super Bowl won’t be this exciting. Amazing job to both teams." The praise doesn't end. Everyone loved the game. Everyone is in love with Allen and Mahomes and excited to see this rivalry going forward. It all hurts as Bills fans, but this is not the end. This is only the beginning. Allen AGAIN found a way to up his game and take it to an entirely different level. Next year we're getting the 1 seed and this game will be played in Orchard Park. 5 1 2 1 Quote

Some members of this board could be the HC of the Bills and with Josh Allen win 11 games. Again, Sean McDermott COST THIS TEAM AGAIN. Since I've got your attention Mr. Beane, draft a fat DT and some super fast RB/WR please! 1 Quote
harryS Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 this feels like a hollow argument without acknowledging that Reid's playoff "improvement" was basically that he started coaching Mahomes whereas previously his QBs didn't measure if McD continues to blunder **while already having a great QB**, it's very different and a huge waste of that QB to boot 1 2 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted January 25, 2022 Author Posted January 25, 2022 Yeah, Manning "couldn't get past Brady" except he beat Brady in the AFC Title game 3 out of 4 times and went to 4 Super Bowls, winning 2. If you are great (and Allen is great) you're going to win a Super Bowl eventually. 3 Quote

But man, this offseason is going to seem MUCH longer this time around Well, you got me to laugh! But I hear ya man. Tough one. I'll spend my off season listing to Joe Marino cover how the Bills will make improvements. I enjoy his off-season shows almost as much as his in-season. It certainly helps anyway. 4 minutes ago, harryS said: this feels like a hollow argument without acknowledging that Reid's playoff "improvement" was basically that he started coaching Mahomes whereas previously his QBs didn't measure if McD continues to blunder **while already having a great QB**, it's very different and a huge waste of that QB to boot I would have to argue that a bit. McNabb was an elite QB there for several years. Reid failed to put talent around him for 3 years. When they finally brought in Owens they made it to the Super Bowl. The problem was that after that the window was closing and they couldn't maintain the competitive level. Quote
LABILLBACKER Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 I get it. Keep him and keep continuity. That's fine, he's an above average HC. But can we once and for all pump the brakes on all the process/culture yada yada. Our chances to win a championship depends 100x more on Josh then anything Sean is going to do. When we needed an intelligent HC with 13 seconds left, we got the same confused game management issues we've seen from him in the past. And a younger Andy Reid would coach circles around McD. I hardly want him run out of town with pitchforks, but if that lightbulb doesn't start going off we will waste Josh just like the Angels have wasted Trout. Quote

Even with his close ties in Chicago he does not get hired and the reason being is because he is not very good. Past 3 years we were eliminated from the playoffs after having leads in all 3 games. He owns that finish on Sunday which was a complete ***** the bed performance. There’s a difference between being a good coordinator and a good head coach. If the Bills were to fire Frazier today, he’d be a DC by the end next week. Given his age, I’m not surprised he can’t get a HC gig. There’s a lot of successful coordinators who can’t. As far as Leslie at DC. I think he’s been good. I also feel that outside of the safeties and Tre, there’s a lack of playmakers on the defense. There isn’t anyone who steps up and makes big time plays like Hyde and Poyer have shown they can do. Ed Oliver and Matt Milano have flashed. Tremaine Edmunds has not The question is, is that players or scheme? We don’t really know. Quote
Jauronimo Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Every Iggles fan used to say Andy Reid installed a great program but was the worst game day QB in the league. Funny how that all goes away after you get a ring. Quote
ArtVandalay Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Even Reid knew to fire McDermott 😄 ... it only took him 2 years and he groomed him! Quote

No question he screwed up and it cost us, some people are banking that it will be easy to return to the position we were in Sunday and don't see how things were falling into place to finally win a Super Bowl. Not going to be easy in coming years with all the great young QB's in the AFC, teams are improving and were not able to add top end talent because of drafting position and salary cap. 1 1 Quote

I remember like 5 years ago Mike Schopp making a quip on the radio that he would NEVER take KC on a bet in the playoffs b/c Andy Reid has "won nothing". He made a big deal out of it at one point in time... He's shut up on that point in more recent years! I mean Andy Reid won A SB. He’s gotten to multiple championship games and lost. Let’s not anoint him yet Quote

They wanted a short catch and come up and tackle. Problem was when Hill catches the 1st pass bills defense is moving backwards. The reaction to the short pass was terrible. Then the Kelce play they just left him alone and focused on Hill. Again though the LBs were way back. They wanted quick passes and come tackle. Hill and Kelce got like 20 yards after the catch on those plays. They should have had 1 hour ago, SWATeam said: The future is supposed to be now. We were 13 seconds from hosting a pretty flawed bengals roster at home to go to the SB and face either Jimmy G or Stafford... *****. Last year was a time for being happy with where we got to and to be excited for the future. This was an epic failure. Just terrible and sickening to think how poorly that final 13 secs played out, I do not have any confidence in Sean in big games. He will need to prove he has learned from these experiences and not another Marvin Lewis. There is no excuse for how that final 13 secs Quote

How many games did the Bills fail to put away this year? These idiots were protecting the sideline against a team with timeouts. You can't make this stuff up. How about not putting a body on Kelce. Even the Chiefs were like how stupid are the Bills. UNBELIEVABLE. 1 hour ago, Evian said: I will take the bet he never gets this team to a Superbowl. I could care less about your record unless you win a Superbowl it is meaningless. The only thing that will keep Josh Allen from winning a Superbowl is Sean McDermott. Get a real coach and we will win multiple Superbowls. Keep the Clapper as our headcoach and we will never win a Superbowl. I'm going to bring this up when we win a Super Bowl with McDermott and you're just going to look silly. 1 Quote
