Leslie Frazier / Brian Daboll - If they go, who would you want as their replacement(s)?

I feel like we need a NASTY D and we don't really get that with Mr. Nice Guy Frazier.  Not sure what happened last night but they didn't seem like the #1.  And Daboll has some head scratching play calling during games.

For Frazier, I think a tackling dummy would be an adequate replacement.

Realistically, these are my choices. Something must be done this off season. I think Daboll gets an HC job and Frazier just needs to be fired.

I badly want Flores for DC, but I think it’s possible he could get a HC offer still.  But if not, I would take him at DC in a heartbeat.

Mike Zimmer makes a lot of sense. 

 

Fangio is a 3-4 guy. A lot of what they do is 4-3 under type stuff, but not sure it meshes with McDermott. 

 

Brian Flores would be awesome.

 

Patrick Graham, who is a Belicheat/Flores disciple would be an interesting fit as well. 

 

Bring back Jim Schwartz. 

 

Or call me crazy, but is there anyone on the planet who knows what McDermott wants to do defensively more than Luke Kuechly? Dude is brilliant and knows exactly what coach wants. Everyone else is hiring young guys without experience, why not us? 

 

All that said, if Frazier gets another job is or is let go (which I think is highly unlikely) I think they just promote their DBs coach John Butler.

I’d look at Martindale or Zimmer for DC.  I think we need someone who would be more aggressive, but would McD want someone like that?

He runs a different scheme too. There is less commonality with McDermott there than with Fangio.

If Daboll goes, you are probably getting Ken Dorsey as the OC and Mike Shula as QB coach.

Martindale is a hard pass. Mike Zimmer, there is some commonality in scheme but again it isn't an easy fit.

I really hope McD gives serious thoughts to his defensive philosophy this off season.  We can be more aggressive given we have a QB and offense that can score.

After last night, i can't imagine Frazier being introduced at some teams press conference as their new head coach.  Not after last night.  Disgraceful ending.
