He’s helped him grow from one of the rawest rookie QBs I’ve ever seen to what he is now. And Daboll tailored an offense that emphasized Allen’s strengths and minimized his weaknesses. He did an incredible job with Allen. That's the story. How much did Jim Kelly have to do with it? What rookie qb isn't raw. Subs Peterman out and beats the Vikings as a 15 point underdog. How many games did Aikman or Manning win as a rookie. Espn is a full time channel they need stories. You don't have to buy em all.

Zero reason we should hand the job to someone with no play calling experience just because they're on the Bills staff now. The best play callers in the world will beg for an opportunity to coach a Josh Allen led offense. If we limit ourselves to an internal hire that is another knock on McDermott IMO. 2

Being the OC for a great QB and great offense is the fastest way to a HC job. Look at some of these guys getting interviews for the jobs open now... Some spent like 5 minutes with a great QB and all of a sudden they're interviewing for HC positions! We would have the pick of OC talent
