dgr81 Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 leave the coaches in KC. they are all losers. they let josh down. Quote
BananaB Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 (edited) Hope McD gives a good explanation on this because he broke the organizations, players and fan bases hearts Edited January 24, 2022 by BananaB 4 Quote
sven233 Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Everyone knows you squib kicked there except the coaches. Coaching lost us the game last year and they did it this year as well. You don't even have to know much about football to know that the squib is the only option there. Embarrassing on every level. 1 2 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 ***** even if u clog the middle of the field and give up 10 yards each time out of bounds that’s 4 seconds a play. Still have to take a really long kick or Hail Mary 1 Quote
Peter Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 (edited) McCoach should apologize to Josh Allen and the entire team for not doing what everyone knows he should have done. Before the kick, even Jim Nance said we would do it knowing that it would be an automatic decision . . . as did Tony Romo. Somehow McCoach did not get the memo. Very disappointing. Such a gut punch. Ramza86 Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Im more pissed about having a 4 man rush and both LBs out there with 13 seconds left.....Its impossible to call worse plays than those on that last drive. Quote

Chew up some time, that's more important than starting their drive at the 25. He may never live this down. Man I’m so mad if I was Allen after the game I would tell McDermott thanks man. 13 seconds and you play 20 yards off the wr unbelievable. That dude coached scared I’m so pissed Allen played a perfect game 1 Quote
MattM Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Why can’t we have nice things? Dumbest coaching decision I’ve EVER seen…. 1 1 1 Quote
Livinginthepast Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Shouldnt the Special teams coach be in McDs face about a squib kick?? WTF how do you make that mistake?? Quote

McDermott doesn't make a lot of mistakes but that one was probably his biggest ever. The squib is more likely to force a return. The high hanger might just go in. Quote

That and not squibbing it. it sucks because McDermott does learn from mistakes. But he’s not a forward thinker and is never ahead of the curve 1 Quote
Peter Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Maybe we should let McCoach interview instead of Daboll. Of course, I am joking . . . but maybe not. Quote
Rampage Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 I’m sorry, how do you not squib the ball, run 4-5 seconds off, force a Hail Mary and it’s game over? McDermott has to be voice of reason in this situation. The defense was getting chewed up the entire second half with zero resistance. It’s inexcusable that they would not squib. 4 1 1 Quote

The squib is also more likely to get downed at the 20-30 instantly. You drop that ball from on high around the 5-10, the guy has got to play it. Either one was acceptable, imo. 5 1 Quote
ngbills Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Coaching let them down a few times tonight. 1 Quote
727Bills Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 This all falls on McDermott.... His D was gashed, I don't give a damn who runs the D.... That's his bread and butter and they stunk... They stunk last year in the playoffs against KC 1 1 1 Quote

Literally gifted them the easiest ask in all of football. Can the #1 ranked defense, you know that #1 ranked PASS defense, make the Chiefs waste 13 seconds? Nope. Poor defensive play doesn't justify a simple tactical decision that was THAT WRONG. The coaches have to do everything to put the team in the best position to succeed. It's not even a complicated or unusual type of play--it is routinely correctly handled all around the league. 2 1 Quote
ngbills Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Squib would have been kc ball at maybe 30 but with under 10 seconds. No way they can run two plays. But some they run two in like 7 seconds which still seems weird. Quote
oldmanfan Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Yes they should have sqibbed it. But the D gave up three drives where one stop wins is the game. It’s on the D. 1 1 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Plus if you squib with that little time someone on KC probably tries to be a hero and get a big return, which would run more time 1 Quote
