The last thing you do is let them just float around and get open without any pressure. I know that thinking in the moment in a high pressure situation is difficult but how did they not practice that scenario OVER AND OVER again?? Like what are we going to do if the Chiefs get the ball back and we need to waste time and disrupt them? Are the Bills seriously that stupid that they would not have practiced what D to do in that scenario?? It's really worse than that because all they have to do is get them to milk 13 seconds...He (Mahomes) cannot hold the ball long...He has to get rid of it...They just played it like they did not know what they were doing...Plus they took time outs to play that poorly in that short period of time. 1 Quote

Epenesa stunk and gets zero pressure, along with Rousseau. I'm talking about tonights game. Epenesa made at least a couple of plays. Addison did nothing. Addison made a few plays over the course of the season you're right but he hardly played up to his contract and I'm not sure one of the rookies couldn't have totaled 6 sacks if they had played as many snaps as Addison. He has great players around him making great plays. Not saying he doesn't make great plays, but he gets way too much credit for his team making plays and out running the defense. Great oline now too…I thought our dline was playing well considering. I think josh would go absolutely wild on that chiefs team lol Edited January 24, 2022 by Generic_Bills_Fan Quote

Teams kick short because you usually get there quicker and tackle before the 25 yard line. Unless they down it where they catch it, it's more than 1 second. I don't disagree with squibbing there (I was okay with it at the time, as I figured Tyreek was back there), but if teams usually get there quicker and tackle before the 25 yard line, then why doesn't every team do that every kick off? TheFunPolice Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 I think we overrate our defense. Which defensive player on our roster scares anyone? Quote

If they were out, that's one thing, but what we watched was inexcusable. That's amateur hour level coaching. You'd think by that time they were tired of seeing Hill run... Guess not... Quote

I feel like the D let us down, but 1.) that’s where Tre might’ve made the difference, and 2.) what were they supposed to do, really? That’s one of the best games I’ve seen Mahomes play, and Andy Reid is arguably the best offensive mind in NFL history. There’s no shame in getting beat by them. Doesn’t make it hurt any less, but we can still hold our heads high. I agree with you, it's like we just needed mahomes to drop slightly and he didn't 1 Quote
newcam2012 Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 I mean couldn't the Bills just intentionally tackle and hold Hill and Kelce for 3 plays. The clock would have run down and they only get 5 yard penalty. Was that a viable strategy? 2 Quote
Craig Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 That has to be the worst kicking off decision ever made. SQUIB OR KICK IT HIGH and make them fair catch at the 10, There WAS NOTHING TO GAIN from kicking it through the endzone other than to stop the clock and help KC. Too bad we missed a FG as well though so did the Chiefs. 1 Quote
Magox Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 The Bills will win a Super Bowl or two, it could have been this year. Two great teams, arguably the two best slugged it out and we literally lost on a coin flip. Bills will be back 1 Quote

No one on the front 4 was beating anyone on the regular. Oliver might be our best pass rusher and he's at DT. Whatever personnel decision making McD has, particularly on D, needs to be reduced significantly. He doesn't know NFL defensive talent beyond pedestrian types and he definitely can't identify offensive talent. 1 Quote
billsfan714 Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 The more and more I think about this game it was just malpractice in the final 13 seconds.....did everything you shouldnt do. 3 Quote

Sitting back in a soft zone nearly the entire game almost allowing them to catch the ball and then reacting. We effectively shut down Mahomes earlier this year. For some reason, they completely abandoned that defensive game plan and just allowed Mahomes to pick them apart. 1 1 Quote

Warcodered Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Honestly he's right, people are going to say Mahomes got the win and drove down just like Josh, but what I remember is Mahomes WR/TEs being wide open. Josh made some ***** crazy throws tonight. 5 Quote
