Sure, Blidge and Kendrick are talented

but should have kept it all gangsta rap, more than enough hits to fill the 14 minutes

What they don't tell you it's actually those artists doing 'Up With People 2022'.  Broadway show tunes.

here is the teaser for the Halftime Show. Man add the Bills into the Super Bowl and I get 5 hours of some of my favorite things during my youth.

Eminem

Snoop

Blidge

Kendrick Lamar

Dr Dre.

Seriously?  You aren't very old.

What a lousy youth, musically speaking!

Halftime of the SB is traditionally my personal time to eat, hit the head, or do whatever needs doing, with the comfort of knowing I am missing absolutely NOTHING.

I see that won't change this year, which is great.

Holy crap I’m not sure you could’ve made a bigger “get off my lawn” statement if you tried! season 13 GIF

Eminem is a gangsta rapper?  Interesting.  🙄

mary J is a legend. Kendrick, w/e, he can go, but some of the younger people can identify with him.  I like the Hunble beat…. That’s about it.

Nas should be involved.  Glad JayZ isn’t.

Sometimes change isn’t progress. I grew up with them too but recognize that it was not a great decade for music.

Had a great youth. Also listened to Doors AcDC and the older rock as well. But this lineup had their hits while I was growing up.

Big fan of all these artists…maybe save Mary, but I have a lot of respect for her artistry. I understand that they are not everyone’s cup of tea but they are the truly massive stars and I know a sizeable group of people that were ecstatic when they were announced. I haven’t been more excited for a halftime show since the Chili Peppers.

Great sign of expanded mind usage when you listen to multiple different types of music. It shows you are capable of multitasking. The people that complain about other types of music are not as lucky.

Nas is not a Dre produced artist. That’s the connection with the others. Check out DNA by Kendrick. That’s a strong track to back up Humble and possibly get you into him more.

Soon as I saw the thread title I knew this would be an old man yells at cloud thread. Maybe they should do weekend at Meat Loaf’s for those of you with one foot in the grave.

My musical interest is as diverse as anyone that I have ever met. I grew up mainly on classic rock, hip-hop and the easy listening music my parents threw on the radio. But, I also love jazz, old country, and some new country, and even have been known to put on some classical and showtunes. Having young daughters now, I hear a lot of pop music that is currently on the radio. There’s value to every kind of music.

What’s this even mean?  You’re bagging on him because he’s not very old……. I’m 47.  I grew up with the stones, MJ, the clash, the police, hall @ Oates, ac/dc, Lionel, cyndi, run dmc, Eric B and Rakim and the Beastie boys.  I enjoyed all types of music (but I hated Depeche Mode and tears for fears).

Mary J, dre and snoop were the beats in the bars/clubs when I was 19+.  Some of the best memories of my life were made with their songs in the background.  Their music will always be a part of me, along with BIG, pac, Nas, the lost boys, the Lox, Wu-Tang, EPMD, Cypress Hill, Beasties, lauryn hill, etc.  or what I still listen to on a daily basis and even during Bills games (beats listening to almost all of the analysts today).

YOU may consider that a lousy youth musically speaking but to many of us in our 40’s, those are the theme songs of the most enjoyable and least stressful chapter of our lives, but in reality, you’re just a close minded simp that thinks the world revolves around your life. Thank goodness that isn’t the case.  ✌️

Ah copy that, thanks.  I forgot Family Affair was a Dre beat.  I always just associated her with Puff due to What’s the 411 and My Life.

Mary J okay - Snoop he's cool but the rest not flattered at all !!

Musical Entertainment just ain't what it use to be !!

Give me some Stevie Wonder - Pharrel Williams - or some Bruno with Mary J & Snoop then you got something !

The Black Eyed Peas were the absolute worst half time show ever but this line up may give them a run for their money .

I always wondered why they never got AC/DC to do a halftime show ??? For Those About to Rock would be a awesome halftime song but those guys all need wheel chairs now LOL !!!

At age 44 this post is 1000% spot on for me as well. Imagine the Melt down if Wu-Tang was the halftime show? :)

Just listened to DNA. Not really my thing.  I’ve heard it a few times previously. I’m more into the club banging beats that I can dance to.  I respect the new dances, but I don’t have the shoulder shimmies down just yet.

I see why people love Kendrick (and J Cole).  As lyricists, they’re on point.  Just not my thing.
