They think he can suddenly walk in and be a HC and build a competent staff? Love McCown, but this is just a huge stretch It has become common place in baseball. I also think it depends who he surrounds himself with. I'm not saying I would be ecstatic if the Bills did this but I don't think it's the worst idea. 1 Quote
BillsFan4 Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 I was actually happy when Nick Caserio left the Patriots. Now I’m kind of wishing he would have stayed. I didn’t realize how incompetent he was 😂 1 Quote

Consider Reich's persistent personal connection to and professional belief in Carson Wentz. Very much rooted in their shared faiths. Which I point out without judgment. 1 Quote
Scott7975 Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Oh wait this is serious. I read the title as Josh McClown and my brain interpreted Josh McDaniels. Is this team smoking crack? The guy has no coaching experience. If this happens IMO they are a bigger dumpster fire than the Jets. Quote

Because he feels it's ridiculous to bring in a guy who recently retired as a player & has never been a coach. He's more old school and believes a coach starts at a lower point & works his way up, not go from a retired player to a head coach with no experience in between. If you want to hear what he said, I linked the show somewhere in this thread & since it is right at the beginning you don't have to fish around for where his rant starts. 2 Quote
stuvian Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 it's time to put the Texans on cult alert 1 Quote

Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Cal McNair saw an episode of 'Ted Lasso'? 🤔 1 Quote
transient Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 If this is the direction that franchise is going to go, they might as well just hire Ryan Leaf. At least he can get the players' golf games in shape for the offseason. Quote
Greatdane21 Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 After all it is Texas we are dealing with here! The owners don’t think like people in the other 49 states! 1 Quote

BillsFan4 Posted January 27, 2022 Posted January 27, 2022 Anyone else think it’s kind of telling that they haven’t even interviewed Leslie Frazier this offseason, after he was a finalist for the job last year? It makes me think that they were just using him last offseason, and viewed him as a throw away coach - someone they could have command the tank for a season and then discard. kind of pisses me off TBH. Frazier deserves better than that. Quote

BuffaloRebound Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 For an organization that isn’t a dumpster fire, this might be looked at as an outside-of-the-box intriguing hire. For the Texans, it just looks like nobody else wants the job. Quote

How do you even compare the two? McCown: I helped Sam Darnold develop into the QB he is today. Webb: I helped Josh Allen develop into the QB he is today. Slam dunk winner & next Texans head coach should be Davis Webb!😜 1 Quote
