JGMcD2 Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 On the same day that starting linebacker Willie Gay ended up in jail, the Chiefs signed CB Damon Arnette to a Reserve/Futures contract. Las Vegas Raiders cut 2020 first-round CB Damon Arnette after video with death threats (espn.com) 2 2 1 Quote
Buffalo716 Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Perfect move for the Chiefs If this guy doesn't murder anybody within the next 9 months I'm sure he'll be a team captain 2 1 12 Quote
NewEra Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Figured it would be the chiefs or the Rams 1 Quote

DasNootz Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 (edited) After watching the video - it sounds like someone said they were coming to him, to which he responded "you talk about being 5 minutes away, pull up - I'll real deal kill you" while showing multiple guns. On the surface this doesn't seem like he's threating to kill someone - he's warning them that if they come to him, he'll stand his ground. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/news/video-2543419/Video-Damon-Arnette-threatens-kill-brandishing-gun.html Edited January 20, 2022 by DasNootz 3 1 1 Quote

This is a topic that's never talked about in media circles and often defined as brilliant savvy moves. Win at all costs regardless of character issues and current indiscretions. Coaches like Belicheck, Reid and Arians can care less of public perception and overall decency. Their job is to win at all costs and will make deals with the devil to make it happen. Maybe it's ok with some and it's not for me to judge but I enjoy cheering for an organization that holds character as a priority. Go Bills!! Edited January 20, 2022 by billsbackto81 2 2 4 Quote

Albany,n.y. Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Ruggs told his agent to call KC to see if they would offer him a futures contract and his agent told him that they are not signing anyone to a contract for the year 2050. 2 1 Quote
Andy1 Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Figures he goes to the Chiefs where character does not matter. Meanwhile, the team says they are helping him and he is worthy of another chance. 1 Quote
Allen2D̶i̶g̶g̶s̶TBD Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 How oblivious do you need to be as an organization to sign a guy who threatened a woman with a gun the same day one of your current players is arrested? When you consider they also drafted Tyreek Hill who almost murdered a pregnant woman, it makes the Chiefs a very easy team to root against. 1 3 Quote
QB Bills Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 That team is loathsome scum. Andy Reid's son probably wouldn't even have gotten pushed out for what he did if it wasn't for public pressure. 2 Quote
frostbitmic Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 No disciplinary action by the NFL ? Please start him Andy. He hasn't played in a few months, JA will beat this guy like a drum. Quote
3rdnlng Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Chiefs have been asked to change their nickname to better reflect on today's mores. They are working to fill their roster with the type of players that can represent Kansas City's new Gridiron Gang. 1 Quote
