Greg S Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 I will make a prediction just for fun. If the Bills win the Super Bowl they will open the season against the Packers. Week 1 at home on primetime. Rodgers vs Allen. I am assuming Rodgers is staying with GB here. 3 Quote

mushypeaches Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 There's no way that the NFL is determining specific weeks for matchups at this early juncture. Anyone who's watched features on the NFL schedule in past years knows that there's a huge amount of coordination that goes on with teams, venues, networks, etc, and thousands of permutations etc that get thrown into their computers. They're not done yet, and they're likely not done for another couple of months, so anything now is just conjecture. At the very least, there's not determining weekly schedules until after the Super Bowl is played 2 2 Quote
DrDawkinstein Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 (edited) I think the OT (original tweeter) is confusing "the 17th game" with "Week 17". Lots of us did that last year with WFT, assuming we would be closing the season out against Washington, based on the way an article stated it. He probably got a press release from the NFL confirming "The Bills will play @ LA Rams for the 17th game" and assumed it was week 17. But it's only that the new "17th game" will be against the Rams, and away in LA. We dont know which week it will be. Edited January 20, 2022 by DrDawkinstein 9 6 2 Quote
Warcodered Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Okay now I think I get this, maybe he meant the Rams are the extra 17th game. 1 1 Quote

Yeah, looked at the replies on the tweet and him and Sal have an exchange and this is what it turned out to be. 1 Quote

FilthyBeast Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Considering the Bills/Rams could end up a projected SB match up this year (and/or next for that matter) I highly doubt the NFL would want that game played at the end of the season. Seems like midseason type of time frame would be more fitting on MNF or SNF. Quote
MJS Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 There's no way any part of the schedule is decided yet. They run tons of simulations through their algorithm after all the teams have made their specific schedule requests (lumping west coast games together, dates their stadium won't be available, etc.). They work on it right up until the schedule is released. 56 minutes ago, PromoTheRobot said: Read the thread where Sal goes into why Hawkins is wrong. Quote
