Exactly the opposite of what the Steelers did. We generally match up well against passing offenses, itās running Oās we struggle against. This game can be won if the Bills O can sustain drives, keep KC offense off the field, and give our D adequate rest. The inept Steelers O gassed their D, which was holding up early, then the Chiefs scored a couple then the D quit. Sustained time-consuming drives with points at the end is the key. Ā Also beat them up physically cause Iām sick of their s$*t. Quote

Da webster guy Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 The answer is just about everyone.Ā We play mostly zone w 2 deep safeties vs Mahomes.Ā In zone coverage the LB's and dbacks work together, there won't be a guy following Kelce around. Ā Last time we played them, Kelce and Tyreek had about 60 yards each.Ā It was manageable.Ā Ā Leslie may run some man coverage to mix it up, a few games ago he had Tredavious shadowing Kelce for awhile but switched back to zone not long after. Ā Our biggest worry is going to be blocking Chris Jones and Melvin Ingram.Ā Neither one of those guys played last game (Jones hurt, Ingram wasn't a Chief yet) and they're both elite in my opinion.Ā KC was 4-4 when Ingram came on board and they launched from there.Ā Jones killed us last year in the AFC championship game.Ā Ā When we play teams that can pass rush well, Daboll and the Oline HAVE TO make the run game work to some extent.Ā Ā If we end up in another situation where we give up on the run and make Josh throw 50 passes I think we are toast.Ā Must keep their D guessing.Ā It sounds extreme but Motor may be just as important in this game as Josh.Ā You can do it little/big man! 1 Quote

He cracks under pressure. Remember the first game against Miami this season? That's what we need to do to Mahomes all gameĀ Agreed ... he gets frustrated easily. Quote

HamptonBillsfan Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Dane was unable to cover Pitts effectively and Kelce is bigger. He will have to be bumped early by an LB and or a safety and then covered by Dane or Johnson. The problem is Mahomes extending plays and keeping Kelce covered. If he starts hurting us Sean might have to double him with Edmunds and a db. He can wreck a game. Quote
JMF2006 Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Matt Milano and Taron Johnson would be my best guess with help from Hyde and Poyer. Quote

The question is, do the Bills employ this method again as it appears the Chiefs may have figured out how to beat the Tampa 2. So, try to minimize Kelse/Hill (good luck) and make Mahomes be "patient." Bangarang Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Double Kelce and double Hill at all times.Ā Quote
ArtVandalay Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Well no one did in the AFCC last year, so anyone will be an upgrade.Ā Ā Probably best to put a corner on him.Ā He was stifled this year for several weeks they'll probably see what was working well on him.Ā Quote
K-9 Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 It will be a combination of different players. Gotta limit the free releases, regardless.Ā Quote
Big Turk Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Bills should double Hill and Kelce and force someone else to beat them. Quote

Chuck him at the line. Yeah, but Iād like to win, not prove that Edmunds is who we thought he was. Quote
Paul Costa Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Will be a group effort. Need to muddle rush Mahomes much more than Pittsburgh. They let him outside way too much. He slaughtered them once leaving the pocketĀ Quote
Freddie's Dead Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Edmunds will be the main cover man, and he will hold Kelce to under a hunny and no TD's. Quote
