So the earliest it can begin to be budgeted is 2024, no?

Nope. They have until April 1st to finalize the budget. Even after that amendments can be made but would need legislation to make changes.

No there’s zero chance of a dome

That’s what they said about the Jags chances against the Bills. 🤣

So you’re telling me there’s still a chance for a dome?

No, and there's no Easter Bunny either. Buffalo will be extremely lucky to get the $900+ Million from the state it will take to build the $1.4 Billion dollar open air stadium. The Bills can't sell more than 55,000 season tickets (The Lowest in the league). The Bills are the only team that still relies on selling at least 15,000 game day seats.  They sell virtually no corporate suites, where other teams sell hundreds, and some fans demand a Dome. I want to hit the Mega Million. We'll still be lucky to keep the team. This ain't Vegas, LA or Minneapolis. There's less then zero chance of a Dome.

Shocking news!!

Likely the Gov has smelled little downstate support for Pegula's wonderland.  She's probably squeezing PSE real hard about now.

These negotiations were always going to be difficult.  Lots at stake for all parties.  To your point, I would be surprised if their was much downstate support for a Bills stadium.  For Hochul, it’s about the quid pro quo for downstate support and her potential re-election.  It would be best for all parties if this could be resolved in the current budget cycle.

I'm in for five bucks.  Who's with me?

We should do this $17 at a time to inspire the Bills Mafia!

(Not a fan of that term, but whatever…..anything to inspire!)

This is what makes her take pause.  She won't be re-elected with the upstate vote.  She knows there's no interest from downstate Senators/Assembly members for a stadium.  She wouldn't lose an election if there's not a budget item for the stadium....

That’s where your wrong, she wants to be re elected and she knows that the stadium deal would be one of her tickets that helps her get re elected. Her and Poloncarz would be looked at as heroes for saving the Bills from leaving town

East of maybe Monroe county, that won't get her many votes.  Why would it?

If downstate politicians made noise against the state funding a billion or so for a billionaire's stadium in Buffalo, she would cave in a second.

Crowd funding a stadium in today's world doesn't seem that unreasonable.   And especially while the bills are playing well, there would be plenty of people willing to fork over cash to make it happen.
