Oh FFS....  they have given us the late Sunday slot. 11.30pm UK time.

I would normally take the Monday off but I can't next week as I have to brief a Minister for a legislative debate the following day.

Better be a Bank Holiday after the Super Bowl.

I think in no particular order the Bills, Chiefs and Packers are the three best teams right now and everyone else remaining is a tier below.  In that sense it kind of sucks to face one of those teams in the divisional round.  On the other hand if we beat the Chiefs we probably become the betting favorites to win the SB.

Superbowl Monday is one of my pre-booked leave dates. There is only once I worked it because I was supporting a Minister in the House of Lords in a debate that day and I was more junior at the time and didn't have enough sway to get out of it. Typically it was the year freaking Beyonce tripped the electric in the Superdome and the game finished about 6am. I decided there was no point going to bed and went to work with no sleep. Was not an experience I am keen to repeat.

My work diary has the following dates blocked out as a matter of course:

Superbowl Monday

The Cheltenham Festival week

The Friday of draft week

There was a playbook already set against the chiefs in the first half of the season and that was to play two deep high safety play and to take away their chunk yardage play.

The Steelers kept getting beat over and over with deeper chunk yardage plays.   Buffalo led the league in not giving up those sort of plays and I fully expect that they will make KC earn it all the way down the field and to follow that same playbook with additional wrinkles to counter what they anticipate the Chiefs to counter against that playbook.

With that said, if the Bills win I do think they will need to put up at least 30.  The Chiefs I would to blitz a good bit and hopefully Dabol and Josh are ready to get the ball out quickly and do lots of 4-7 yard passes and check downs.  I also think that Josh will need to run it 10-12 this game, his legs and mobility is the equalizer and key to the offense to break their defense down.

17 > 15 and he will prove it again on Sunday.

Haha, no. He is isolation after a member of his family caught a new strain of covid called "convenient covid".

It is almost as though the UK Parliament and the NFL do not coordinate diaries, which is most fudging inconvenient!

At least you'll be in a great mood after the victory! Always helps

So basically they are saying this is the top playoff game next week since at 6:30 on Sunday Saturday.  Put it ahead of Brady and Rodgers, though Green Bay game had to be on Saturday once San Fran won so only question was Brady or Tenn/Bengals game.  Game does have what most in the country feel is the top young QB in the league and likely the 2nd best nipping at his heals.

Yep.  Plus the Bills are about as healthy as a playoff team can be.  Might as well play them this week and get it done now.

Just think the regular season had us going to Kansas City, then the next going to Tennessee and then paying aka Thomas aka Tom terrific aka Tom Brady and then Bill Belichick.  How does the playoffs look

First Round: Belichick.

Second Round:  Back to KC with Patty Mahoney.

AFC Championship Game: Possibly Tennessee with Derrick Henry.

Super Bowl:  Possibly Tampa Bay and Tom Brady.

i don’t think this has happened before let alone have to go through Muderous Rowe schedule to get to the Super Bowl but  playing the same teams from the regular season almost in order as we played in the regular season.  This Bills team will be tested and we see if the Bills defense is number 1 and Josh is going to have to play like Superman.

Ideal weather conditions. No wind. No snow.

Add to your post obnoxious loud fanbase CHECK...yep

The Bills need to take their crowd out of the game. To me that is the dream scenario. All Good for our Bills flows from that scenario HA

The Bills can play away games effectively Im not stressing too much this week......yet

In watching Mahomes, I do agree with those that state he is an excellent player and a top four quarterback right now. But, he executes one of the most inventive offensive schemes to ever be put on an NFL field. There’s a lot of stuff in that offense that other quarterbacks could do, but they don’t have a coach telling them to do it. But, that doesn’t really speak to increasing confidence going into this game. It’s just saying that I think Allen is more of a unicorn than Mahomes.

It's the Viagra.

And exercise every past past demon narrative with the win. Sounds all to perfect and what needs to happen to win the Super Bowl.

Patriots were first on to Maholmes.

9) Running backs = Buffalo. (Yes, that's shocking to believe)

Kansas City's Clyde Helaire is suffering through injury while having an abysmal season. He is nowhere near 40%. Helaire was out against Pittsburgh Steelers. Our previous game against the Patriots showed that, if we get good games from our RBs, we're unstoppable. The other RB for Kansas City, Jerick McKinnon, is mehhh. I'm not dismissing McKinnon, but he's not a threat.

Josh Allen got 763 yards rushing and 6 touchdowns this year. Helaire got 517 yards and 4 touchdowns. Take that for data.

10) Special teams = Chiefs

On running backs while I agree I'd take Devin playing the way he is over any of their backs, I disagree on the characterisation of McKinnon. I kind of feel the opposite with him. He isn't an every down back who is going to provide consistent production against you but he is a threat to make a big play, particularly if you lose him in the screen / dump off game he can take one to the house.

Special teams is really close. These are two excellent special teams units. They are the two top punt coverage units in the entire league (KC #1, BUF #2) and they are both top 5 kick coverage units (BUF #3, KC #5). In the return game the Bills are slightly better returning kicks and the Chiefs are slightly better returning punts. Last year it was the Bills special teams that made a play (set up our early touchdown). That will be a key battle again on Sunday.

Chiefs fans are talking about not having ingram and Jones and now Buffalo not having White, so they’re banking on that. None seem to realize how important Milano is and that he didn’t play that first game. Probably Bc it was only mentioned once and grudgingly confirmed by Collingsworth in between one of the 30 times he said the chiefs didn’t have Chris Jones

KC Buffalo may be seen as the AFC SB

depending on who actually makes it to the dance

This should be a great game. While I don't want to take anything away from KC they really beat up an average at best Steelers team led by the corpse of what used to be a great QB. Anyway go Bills and Bengals. How cool would it be if the AFCCG was in Buffalo. First we need to beat the Chiefs for a 2nd time this year.
