Buffalo_Stampede Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 I immediately thought of this play. Belichick breaking down the best play he ever saw a FS make. Maybe Micah just joined Ed Reed. https://youtu.be/GQrZKveWgOk 4 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 He covered so much ground. It was unreal. The pass could have been thrown a little further up field but honestly that was just an all world play by Hyde. Then he almost had a punt return for a TD. Tripped over his own guy. 2 2 Quote

All the plays the offense made, Micah's pick was thee play of the day for me. 2 2 Quote

JohnNord Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 I think if Hyde doesn’t make that INT, the game could have been completely different. It seemed to set the stage for the game and the offense did their part by turning the turnover in 7 points. 1 1 Quote
Nelius Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 Best safety duo in the league doing best safety duo things. I enjoyed watching Twitter blow up after that interception, lots of sad Packers fans still. If I want to win Super Bowls I want Micah Hyde on my team. 2 Quote
billsfan89 Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 That play by Hyde completely changes the complexion of the game. If the Pats score they gain confidence and keep pace at least early on in the game. Hyde makes an All Pro type play and the game is never in doubt. 1 Quote

It's probably the best defensive play I've seen a Bills player make. 2 1 Quote

K-9 Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 Love Micah, but Ed Reed redefined the position. Best FS to ever lace them up. You really couldn’t appreciate what he did on TV; you had to watch his artistry from high up to see how he routinely baited QBs into making throws they thought were there. Too bad we didn’t have the All 22 when he was in his heyday. 1 1 Quote
JoPoy88 Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 Micah is not Ed…but he’s closer than most would say. 1 Quote
Wizard Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 Hyde and Poyer have more than admirably taken on the role of "heart of the defense" as well as any Bills defenders in history. Both ought to find their way together on the Wall of Fame. Until then, let's go Buffalo! Quote
JoPoy88 Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 Our two safeties are the best since Balt had Ed and his various partners back there though. Poyer/Hyde will go down in history as one of the best tandems of all time Quote
Joe Ferguson Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 Ronnie Lott is still one of the best. 1 Quote
ticketssince61 Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 I really don't know the difference between Micah and Hyde. To me we have 2 safeties that are Siamese twins that were separated at birth. Quote

Indeed, he may have made the Pro Bowl at all three positions although I’m not certain of that. I’d say his best position was as a SS though. His impact from the SS position was a precursor to Troy Polamalu. 1 Quote

Dan Darragh Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 But don't forget he's not good enough to make the Pro Bowl Quote
GETTOTHE50 Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 Sean Taylor i think was probably the best safety in the league. absolute force. i absolutely love the tandem of hyde and poyer though. their chemistry is off the charts and they are incredibly smart and physical players. they are great every year, but this year they are even better. its insane.
