Maybe I'm overplaying it, but this September is going to feel a LOT different for me.  It will feel kind of new.   Like we can start a basic division rivalry with the Pats again, without some weird psychological thing going on.

 

Or, in short, it's over. The demons?  They're buried. Way down.

The aura around NE is dead.  It was dead last season when Brady left but that mirage of a 7 game win streak forced the media to pretend it still exists.  All of this stuff about Belichick taking away an offenses best player, never losing after a bye, never losing 2 in a row, never losing in December is all ancient history.   Remember how brilliant he was to “zig when everyone zagged.”  It caught up with him today.  There’s a limit to how far a run first offense without a legit QB can go in the NFL.  
 

Belichick will go down as perhaps the greatest coach ever in the NFL.  You can argue that he’s probably the best defensive mind ever.  But the aura of invincibility around him is gone.

Just saw on FB a couple Bills fans at the airport near the Pats* plane, ready to send them off.

Just insane to think of the Bills run of success in the McD era. Three playoff wins (and counting), back to back division titles, four playoff appearances, a young franchise QB on the team and 3 straight 10+ win seasons!

 

All the while mercilessly beating the Pats in the playoffs at home and beating them 3 out of the 4 previous regular season games.

These talking heads get idiotic when it comes to the Pats! How can losing 47-17 in a game where the opposing QB had 4 incompletions and 5 touchdown passes you can take any positives out of that?

 

I saw somewhere where some Patriots fans said we beat a rebuilding Patriots team?!?! How are the Patriots a rebuilding team when they have the 10th oldest roster, spent the most money in free agency and have only 5 draft picks in the 2022 draft(1,2,3,4,7)?!?!

Yep. All they will ever be able to do is live in the past. Bills fans have the present and future to enjoy and look forward to. The Pats are done. Jones will probably improve some, but he will never be able to go blow for blow with Allen.
