Raiders gave it a good shot to give it a fun ending, but Cincy deserved to win IMO...they were the better team. Quote
Freddie's Dead Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 WOW, CBS arguing that the Bengals TD should have been a replayed down due to inadvertent whistle! The refs did the Raiduhs dry. 1 Quote
Warcodered Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 I think it's a bit much to say the Raiders stopped playing on that whistle. 1 Quote

Success Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 I wish they wouldn't make a big deal out of that whistle. The WR was wide open, and it was a great play by Burrow. The injustice would have been calling it back. There has to be some judgment there. If the defender was right on him, sure. Quote

Its true but the play is dead when the whistle blows. Thats the rule. It would be the same if the whistle blew and a player fumbled like at that point. No fumble. 1 1 Quote

Turbo44 Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 (edited) Great play but a rule is a rule fgs instead of tds will lose you a game - ask The raiders today those last 4 plays and the unnecessary downing the ball didn’t help either Edited January 16, 2022 by Turbo44 Quote

However it turned out one of the teams was getting screwed and the Refs screwed up. Quote
Saint Doug Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 If a defender hears a whistle, but the offense in front of him is going full-speed. He’ll react according and play the guy. However, in the back of his mind, he know he’s heard the whistle and won’t be putting forth 100% effort. Quote
stuvian Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 That was a pretty good game considering how watered down this league is Quote

I never know why teams dont do the fake spike like Dan Marino in that situation! or try a fade that only the receiver can catch or its incomplete. Quote
