You certainly don’t “give him another year” either. You either commit to him long term or don’t bring him back at all. That's the whole point, if they are at the ceiling/overachieving with Bisaccia why wouldn't you bring him back, give him a full offseason with new draft/FA additions and see what happens. Quote
Utah John Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 What players on the Raiders would scare you if you were a DC or OC getting ready to face them? I think, Waller, and that's it. They don't have a lot of talent, and their schedule next year is going to be fierce. So whoever the HC is, isn't going to do great. If Bisaccia gets the HC position full-time, he'll likely struggle, based on the previous paragraph. The Raiders job could be the only chance he'll ever get, and he'll be one and done. If he wants to be a HC and stay a HC for a while, he should go to another team. The Raiders aren't good enough for him. Quote

I kinda already explained why. Coaches want trust and stability just like players. It sends the wrong message to the staff and the team to just say “meh we’ll see what happens next year with this guy”. Sounds like a lame duck HC. I think if you bring him back then it needs to be a clear commitment that he is your guy for the next several years, otherwise you thank him for his hard work and move on. Quote
Beast Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 In a just world I'd keep him. In a world where Jim Harbaugh may be available, all bets are off. Quote
ghostwriter Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 I have little information so I don’t know, but after doing some light research, I would say no. If he wins a playoff game though I would have to say yes. Ultimately as far as HC is concerned you typically want a mastermind at OC or DC, but preferably a OC, not a ST coach. Quote
Cheektowaga Chad Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 Making the playoffs should earn him a full off season and season at the least This is were continuity should be talked about and how important it is to have the same coaches year after year Quote

I think there remains a prejudice against special teams coaches as head coaches, despite your John Harbaughs and Bill Belichicks. Joe Judge and his disaster in NY won't help matters - he was a long time ST coach that straight up failed. Bisaccia and Dave Toub (KC's ST coach) always get the interviews but not the commitment. And Marv Levys. 1 Quote

He wouldn't, I said I would after taking the team to the playoffs despite all the turmoil. What say you? He earned another year given the ***** storm in Vegas this year. Quote
