sn't...isn’t that what they tried last time?

Yes but that doesn't mean its a bad strategy.  The Bills responded after each Pats score.

You can bet that Belichick will scheme to break down the Bills' execution (assuming we don't do that ourselves).

We have the better tean.  WE just need to go out & show that.

The better question is: what does McD have up his sleeve for Belicheat?

McD learned from that first Pats game.

First Pats game: Pats 100% committed to the run. Play a heavy formation with an extra OL on the majority of snaps. McD counters with ... 2 180 lb CBs playing 100% of the snaps. 222 yards rushing without even pretending to try to throw the ball. Compare Bills with standard offensive sets: 60 RB rushing yards.

Later: McD/Daboll frustrated with O line injuries/ineffectiveness. Copy Belichick by playing Doyle as an extra O lineman.

Imitation: sincerest form of flattery.

The student will not be caught by the master again with his pants down.

So the answer to a strategy that didn't work is.....make it work anyways, cuz reasons?  "Scheme to break down the Bills' execution" doesn't mean anything.  That's like a gameplan being "win by scoring more points than the other team, by virtue of being better than them at things".

He's been Limited in practice this week, but have not seen him ruled out? Did I miss something?

Local scuttlebutt.  Also he had an MRI because they thought he had a serious knee injury.  It's odd to go from "he might have torn his ACL" to "naw, he's good."

But we shall see.

Belichick may deploy extra DBs and force the Bills to run the ball.

They're short on them.  And good ones at that.

They really just can’t cover all our receivers…they’re pretty soft in the secondary.  They have one good corner who cannot really contain diggs even with help.  Pats gotta hope to get pressure rushing 4 and sit in a lot of zone and hope for some miscues…kind of like our game plans against Brady when we were outmatched talent wise

I did not say that.  It's more complex than that.  It all depends on why a strategy did not work.  In the second game the Bills out-executed the Pats.

He's gonna win the toss.  Defer.  Then take field direction in 4th. YUP... He's gonna have wind in 4th and kick off to Bills twice.  One time each to start the each half... Yup, Bills will receive both times!

That's really gonna ***** with people's minds and fire up the: "Dome or No-Dome Debate."

😆🤣

We mythologize him too much. He's the greatest ever - but he's still just a coach.

That said, he's cooking up something right now.  It was EASY in game 1, w/ the kind of team he has.  Get a lead early. Run, run, run.  He got enormous praise, but I could have coached that. And if Allen makes that last pass, everyone is saying he blew it.

He tried something weird in game 2. Not much blitzing - give Allen the underneath stuff.  To which Allen said, thank you sir, may I have another?  There are some who think he let Allen have everything underneath as a kind of "vanilla" scheme in case they met again.

What do you all think about game 3?  He's going to blitz more. I have no doubt on that - he wants to limit Allen's passing.  He has to have Mac pass more - certainly more than the 1st game!

He has some surprises in store. I just don't know what they might be - thus, they will be surprises, at least to fans.

Thoughts?

What do I think about game 3? I think if we put a muzzle over Chuck Dickerson's mouth, we'll be all right. Remember HIM Bills fans ? SB 2 for

the Bills.

One of Belicheat’s little known secret of success -that IS’NT cheating- is how well he baits the opponent through the 1st 3 quarters, only to drastically change things up in the 4th. So many (countless??) Pats* wins over the years were close and decided in the 4th quarter.  I hate him, but he’s a defensive genius.

If you ask Pats fans, that one good corner locked down and owns Diggs.  I guess 7 catches for 85 yards and a TD counts as locking someone down these days.  Maybe they were averaging in the windstorm game?

More details on possible ways to break down Bills' execution:  Twists & stunts by DL; blitz/ fake blitz, particularly showing double A gap blitz and then back out or run the blitz.  This stresses the Bills' interior OL which is not the beast  If NE can confuse our OL as other teams have done we are in for a long day.
