stuckincincy Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Cincinatti Enquirer 05/04/05, Mark Curnutte. An expected move. B'gals are still over the cap - Palmer's contract bit them hard. There's a general feeling that WR Peter Warrick will also get the axe. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...040347/1078/SPT
34-78-83 Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Maybe they can cut Matt Schobel and we can have a new TE / DE brother tandem
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 I'd take Warrick. Talk about a fearsome Foursome at WR.
Like A Mofo Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 I'd take Warrick. Talk about a fearsome Foursome at WR. 327786 Nah, he is too tall!!
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Nah, he is too tall!! 327788 LOL yeah, TD ahs a thing for short WR. see: Hines Ward, Lee Evans, Roscoe "Papa Smurf" Parrish.
stuckincincy Posted May 4, 2005 Author Posted May 4, 2005 I'd take Warrick. Talk about a fearsome Foursome at WR. 327786 For some reason, he was never a fan favorite here, which I don't understand. He's a terrific 3rd down receiver, fearless, and is as elusive as they come after the reception - and is an excellent kick returner. His injury status is up in the air - lower leg. He played 3 or so games last season, with only a few catches before being put on IR. B'gals have 9 wr's in camp, including two picked on last month's draft. If he's healthy and gets cut, some team is going to end up getting a gem.

The tall, blistering fast guys like Randy Moss are rare.

I still remember that diving TD catch in the Sugar Bowl.....killed VA Tech's comeback!

I still remember that diving TD catch in the Sugar Bowl.....killed VA Tech's comeback! 327830 I think the fans here wanted him to be a classic "home run" threat. He catches 60 to 70 balls a year (IIRC, he averages just under 11 yards per catch) moves the sticks, and is Murder, Inc. on end-arounds. If he's healthy, I would love to see him in a Bill's uniform.
scribo Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 And hopefully it's us. 327810 Or at least a team outside the AFC.
/dev/null Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 i wouldn't mind warrick, but he'll draw interest around the league and end up costing more than we can afford to pay for someone #3 to #5 on the depth chart
