Ralph got the bargain...

Ralph was a key figure in building the league. He was risking money when there was nothing and no hope for the league. You have to remember that Ralph and the other 7 owners were called the Foolish Club because nobody thought the AFL could succeed. Ralph even had to bail other clubs out when they ran out of money just to keep the league alive.

True, but the point remains.  Compared to Pegula (who was widely considered to have overpaid), Ralph had a massive ROI (as did they all).

That's kind of simplistic. I'll be the first to say that Ralph wasn't perfect but it's not fair to discount his many contributions to building the NFL.

Nowhere in my post did I do that.

Broncos have always been one of the most valuable franchises.  They’ve been highly successful and their fan base spans the entire Mountain West…

Give it 50 more years, like with Ralph..........the Pegula kids might have an asset worth a trillion+ (or the equivalent in whatever currency is then).

Terry got a bargain

He actually overpaid at the time by as much as $200 million!

But sure, if values are going to keep going up forever, he still got in at a great time.

Not all franchises are valued equally, either.

You would think it can't keep escalating forever!  But then we never seem to find a ceiling!
