It has now been half a decade since Bills fandom’s period of darkness showed the first sign of ending.

    49-32 (.605). Regular season

         2-3 (.400) Playoffs

4 out of 5 years in the playoffs.

    2 AFC East titles

    1 AFC Championship Appearance

    Is he perfect? No

Is he a very good coach? Yes

It also looks like he might have the beginnings of a Coaching Tree starting.

He needs one SB win and he will be the best coach, in the SB era, this team has had.

The direction of the franchise changed the moment he walked through the door. Make no mistake it isn't just results on the field. Sean McDermott was the first guy the Bills had hired in forever who had a very clear idea of what he thought a winning organisation looked like and a determination to build it that way. Being a Head Coach isn't just about being an Xs and Os guy. It is about being the person with the vision to drive change.

Of course ultimately he will be judged on whether he wins a Lombardi. But even if he doesn't he was a slam dunk of a hire for the Bills and without that decision having been made I very strongly suspect we'd still be spinning our wheels.

It has been a great 5 years!  The next 5 should be better!  I am enjoying the ride!  McD's greatest attribute is to self reflect, look in the mirror and make change.  Especially in the offseason.  He has checked his ego for 5 years.  If he continues to do that, he will continue to improve!  I am absolutely impressed and thankful!

Ok

Even just that. Look at the whole setup. Listen to Berchtold. It was still amateur hour. Looked like the local high school had hired a coach. The Bills had no idea what they were doing as an organisation. Guarantee that whenever McDermott does go and the Bills do that again, it looks a hell of a lot more professional than that. Because he has raised the bar.

Isn’t he 2-2 in the post season?

Lost to Huston, beat Indy, Baltimore, lost to KC?

Lost to Jax.

At the time I was livid, but in retrospect that playoff game was hilarious.

Tyrod refused to complete a pass all game and then gets knocked out at the end, Peterman comes in and throws a pick to seal it.

What a microcosm of the Bills before Josh. 😂

At least Peterman completed a pass.... well.... sort of.
