You really think all the Bills are 100% healthy and injury free right now because ours is clear? Adding players that end up playing really isn't much different that not having guys on there that are injured, missing practice time to "vet rest" "Illness-non COVID" or such. Of course this is true, all professional sports teams are going to try to find every edge and gain a competitive advantage. The way Belichick has misused the injury report consistently for over a decade has gone well beyond that IMO...how many other teams this season have listed 13 guys as questionable in a given week and/or repeatedly given the same rating to players with big differences in their injury severity (for example, Isaiah Wynn hasn't practiced in two days and David Andrews has been listed on the injury report with the same shoulder injury since Week 13 (December 7th) but played in every game). The Patriots have also lost the benefit of the doubt with this kind of thing...it's not the biggest deal in the world, but it seems like the NFL should figure out a way to prevent teams from using the injury report in this way. Then my alarm went off. To be continued…tonight! Update us before the game tomorrow night. 🤣 1 Quote

The real question is...if it's not against the rules (and it's not) why don't more teams do it? Easy answer...because it makes zero difference. Actually, the ratings of "questionable" "doubtful" ect are all subjective. Who is to say someone isn't looked at as 50-50 to play. Anything Belechick does lives rent free in fans minds. "He ordered a salad for luch? What's he hiding?" Put it another way...who is this fooling? Do you really think teams are shocked at who's in and out? Not at all...it offers no competitive advantage. It's like early in the season when the Pats technically had 1 QB in the active roster and kept calling Hoyer up. A ton of people were up in arms about it. Was a really unique move that basically saved a roster spot for a few weeks. Any other coach does it and it's an "innovative move" and teams around the league copy it. The amount of PTSD that Belichick has inflicted on NFL fans is pretty hilarious at this point. Quote

I'm not sure either team is blowing the other team out. Raiders vs. Browns (Jan. 4, 1981): -4 degrees final score 14 - 12 Giants vs. Packers (Jan. 20, 2008): -4 degrees final score 23 - 20 Seahawks vs. Vikings (Jan. 10, 2016): -6 degrees final score 10 - 9 Chargers vs. Bengals (Jan. 10, 1982): -9 degrees final score 27 - 7 Cowboys vs. Packers (Dec. 31, 1967): -13 degrees final score 21 - 17 Diggs played in that Vikes game too so he has experience in it. 1 Quote

wjag Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 (edited) Some things to ponder: 1. Mills, if he plays, will have missed the entire week of practice and game prep 2. Dugger, if he plays, will have missed multiple days of practice and may be wearing some protection for his hand (not great for tackling) 3. Wynn, if he plays, will have missed multiple days of practice. If he doesn't, the RT may have to move to the left tackle 4. Mac Jones will be playing in his first frost bowl and playoff game 5. No wind favors the passing game, regardless of the temps 6. E Sanders may have some rust as he hasn't played in a few weeks 7. Footing will be responsible for interceptions this game. WRs falling down or slipping for both teams will likely create turn overs. 8. The Evil Emperor has not won a playoff game since Vinny Testaverde and where Tom Brady was not his QB 9. Patriots are on the road and facing a very loud and boisterous crowd 10. Crossing routes that won in NE will not be there this time, so how the Bills change up will be interesting to watch Edited January 14, 2022 by wjag 4 1 Quote

zow2 Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 (edited) Belichek loves Allen. He gave him big hugs after this seasons games and late last year. You can tell he would love to have him as his QB. Bill B may have some answers to rough up our WR's (like he did in SuperBowl 25!)...but he can't stop Allen's unscripted runs and improvisation. I think Josh is Bill's kryptonite. MJS Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 (edited) Nate Burleson picked the Bills to lose and predicted that Mac Jones would throw for more yards than Josh Allen (these were "bold" predictions, btw). Burleson is a closet Bills hater and always has been. Not sure why. "Mac Jones threw for a total of 164 yards in his two games vs. Buffalo during the regular season. He digs deep in his bag of tricks in Saturday night's wild-card game and leads the Patriots to an upset victory by throwing for more yards than Josh Allen." https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-super-wild-card-weekend-bold-predictions-mac-jones-outduels-josh-allen-benga Also, Greg Rosenthal from NFL.com picked the Patriots to win. Rosenthal has always been an Allen doubter and still is: https://www.nfl.com/news/super-wild-card-weekend-game-picks-2021-nfl-season Edited January 14, 2022 by MJS 1 Quote
