GoBills808 Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 Of course they are The Panthers have been paying running backs too much money for a decade plus now 5 1 2 1 Quote
BillsfaninSB Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 The Bills will get to use him for 3 games. Great bargain. 1 4 Quote
HappyDays Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 This is another incarnation of the junk NFL rumors Twitter account. This guy just posts random crap and retweets himself when one of his guesses comes true. 1 2 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 If we traded for CMC and Barkley maybe we could make 1 Franken RB that can stay healthy. Or play 1 and use the other for spare parts? Not sure which is better. In Beane we Trust. 5 Quote
SF Bills Fan Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 I'd say no. See what we can get in draft or find another good RB that won't come at the price Mcaffrey would. 3 Quote

When we traded away a used-up Simpson in 1978, we got: 1978 2nd round draft pick (DE Scott Hutchinson) 1978 3rd round pick (WR Danny Fulton) 1979 1st round pick (LB Tom Cousineau) 1979 4th round pick (DE Ken Johnson) (aka Pinto Ron) 1980 2nd round pick (RB Joe Cribbs) What a great trade for the Bills! Joe Cribbs was a really talented multipurpose back for us. And, of course, Cousineau turned into Jim Kelly. Obviously, there's a durability issue but it's amazing you could potentially get someone of McCaffrey's talent for a 2nd rounder. Though I wouldn't want his contract. 3 Quote
wjag Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 Antonio Williams + a 2nd rounder. We will even throw in a punter.. 🙂 1 Quote
Olliemets Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 Pass. The guy NEVER plays. Always hurt. 1 Quote
Matt_In_NH Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 It would have to be a low round pick to take that contract and injury history. 1 Quote
SCBills Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 I’m inclined to immediately say no to this, but the Bills do seem to have a really strong strength & conditioning / player-care set up. Still more than likely against this, or Barkley for that matter, but I could see it working here. Quote
sven233 Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 If there is a way that Carolina can eat the contract and we can get him on the cheap, sure. But there is no way we're putting that contract on the books. 4 Quote

We don't need to hear anything about you, McCaffrey, and the 'Mile High Club'. 🤨 * He'll probably get injured walking off the guddam plane. 😠 Edited January 7, 2022 by Ridgewaycynic2013 1 2 Quote
DCofNC Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 They screwed up big time, like Brock Oswieler big. Their cap hit is $14M for next year, then $17M, 17M and 13M, FOR A RUNNING BACK, who hasn’t stayed healthy. if they trade him, the dead cap is 26M, so I really doubt this is the year they are going to do that. He’s relatively affordable at $8M in 2022 and only 1M is guaranteed in 2023, so that part is doable for another team, but if you keep him you are paying essentially $12M a year for him after next year.. tough sell. If he could stay healthy he’s worth it, but that’s a huge if. 4 Quote
Blainorama5 Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 His injury habit is a hard one to break. (sounds like a Chicago song) Great talent, good character guy obviously, probably would fit in at OBD, but not sure you give away the farm for a guy who has a well established history of not being available. I'd pass. 1 Quote
eball Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 I've gotta say no to this, particularly given what the cost would be. 1 Quote
DasNootz Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 I don't want either at their price tag - but finger gun to my head, I'd rather have Saquon Barkley for this team. 1 Quote
