I'd hate to be a Jags fan right now. O'brien tried to get himself fired by making awful trades and they kept giving him more power and now somehow he's getting interviews?  I don't understand how some of these billionaires made their money with moves like this.

OB was a very good coach for PSU, and a pretty good coach for the Texans. Clearly a poor GM.

If he gets the Jags job, don’t be surprised if he tries to poach John Butler. Butler and OB are boys back to their high school days.

Yea BOB was not a terrible coach in Houston. He was a terrible GM. I'd be surprised if he gets a job this cycle though.

I think the issue with him is that he can’t just be a HC. He can’t work with others. He has to control everything.  He wants to be the GM and OC too. That’s what he showed in Houston. Considering Baalke is being retained in Jax and the owner is willing to give a ton of control to the HC there, I don’t see that changing. He would have baalke making his coffee or out the door in a matter of months.

I think it would be great if they hired O'Brien.  It would be destined to fail and the Jags would remain an AFC doormat for years to come.

I still can't believe the Bills lost to them this year.

I guess they coached at Georgia Tech in the late 90s together.

I feel bad for the jags. I was just reading up on this Shad Khan, and I think he is a cool story— came from nothing and is a self-made billionaire based on basically an automotive parts business (bumpers).

so, now I am sort of rooting for the jags to get things on track.

Inevitable breaking news two weeks after he's hired by the Jags...

"Former first rounder OT Austin Jackson traded from Miami to Jacksonville in exchange for the Jaguars' next 25 draft picks."

In case you can't tell, I'm still raging that BOB gave Miami ALL the draft capital for Laremy Tunsil. Luckily for us, the Dolphins seem to have mostly squandered it away.
