Yes. Unless Beane finds any compelling reason to overreach on an average pass rusher.

Absolutely not.  Diggs is a special receiver with a special connection to Josh and you would be sending a horrible message to the team.  The message being you have zero clue on how to build a team or win.

I dont think it's possible to relate to your logic.

No you can't. You are too awash in love with the bromance. But warm feelings don't win Super Bowls as we've learned. Hard decisions do.

Diggs in his prime can probably help win a Super Bowl, too, like in a few weeks. Maybe if we flame out of the playoffs a couple more times then you'd have a better point Mama Pecorino Romano but now is clearly not the time.

Ah he's a Jefferson truther, so I'm thinking maybe a troll. He says earlier that the "Vikings clearly don't miss Diggs".

But Diggs is in the playoffs, and Justin Jefferson isn't...

Jefferson is faster and younger and as or more productive with Kirk Cousins. Diggs is a great player now but not post 28 at 20m per with so many glaring holes to fill on the lines.

Vikings don't miss Diggs. They have a younger, bigger, faster more productive player who hasn't reached his prime, and a better tandem overall. The Bills have small dudes, no speed threat, and Gabe Davis.

If we both have Allen clones, I win with Jefferson.

Bills need to find their Jefferson, pocket the asset and maximize the strength of their lines. Josh Allen is the Bills.

Ok got it - we need to hurry up do what the team that missed the playoffs did, in order to hopefully make the playoffs next year...while completely ignoring that we're currently in the thick of things now. Makes total sense, thanks.

Fantasy football rots brains. There are still people who would rather have the Minnesota or San Diego offense over what is happening right now in Buffalo. It's truly mind blowing.

Oh I see too that if we bring up Diggs's obvious impact and leadership on Allen, that it's just disregarded as some made up "bromance". Just ignore it, it's just for headlines. I'm sure a rookie can totally bring all of the exact same qualities to the table as Stefon Diggs, all talented WR's are completely interchangeable.

Do they have a clue? They have a quarterback for sure.

Yes the Bills don't have a clue as to winning or building a team.  Clearly you know your stuff.  Well enjoy the playoffs.  Again.

Stefon Diggs finished another season with 100 catches, 1200+ yards, and another Pro Bowl selection. That's back to back seasons. Diggs also got 10 touchdowns. No other receiver in Buffalo Bills history did that. Am I missing something here?

Ok I get it.

Vikings don't miss Diggs, but Diggs does not miss the Vikings. Viking fans get to sit home and cry about another season missing playoffs. With a great receiver in Justin Jefferson.

It's unfortunate how much fantasy football and stats in general can skew a person's perceptions of actual NFL football.

Jefferson being an absolute statistical monster in Minnesota does NOT mean that Diggs is somehow less valuable in Buffalo. Hell, Cousins having GREAT stats yet again is obviously not connected at all to the reality of that franchise's fortunes, so MAYBE the collective national rush to see this very complicated game through the very reductive lens of statistical outcomes is misleading, at least...

Diggs' talent, competitiveness, AND HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH ALLEN carry value that transcends quantification. Suck it, nerds.

Trade Diggs in the off season for a 1st rounder. Save the cap and the cash. Great talent and great guy. He is taking a beating in this offense and is 28. Speed will decrease and injuries will accumulate. Blowing $20 mil per on him is a waste with both lines as average.  Bills are without elite speed at wr (and have subpar speed at rb).

Jefferson excels with the Vikings, they don't miss Diggs. Do similarly and draft a young stud (and dump Beasley too). Form a new core on rookie contracts. Maybe bring in a 25-27yo FA. The Bills brought in a past prime Sanders several years too late. He has been ineffective the second half of the season. Don't overpay declining assets.

The QB is the centerpiece. That is dialed in for 10 years barring catastrophic injury. Everyone else should revolve around him interchangeably.

Bill O'Brien's burner account?  You don't let a #1 WR who's only 28 years old leave when he significantly elevated this offense when he got there.

You trade to improve your team and situation. The Bills are Josh Allen. Diggs is not built for the long haul at $20m per. Better too soon than too late.

This is the worst take since trade Mario for Skelton.

Most expensive contracts come with decisions in the later years of that contract.  Keep, cut, trade or restructure.  Every player is evaluated that way regardless of contract size.

First question, is a contact this size tradable?  Be very difficult.  Would need to be the right situation.

2nd question.  Trade your 2nd best offensive player?  No way.  Allen and Diggs are great together and no way you break those two up.  Are you saying this because Minnesota got rid of Diggs and drafted a pretty good replacement?  This ain’t madden, and you have zero idea if the guy you draft will be that good.

No way you get rid of Diggs.  In his prime.
