msw2112 Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 (edited) Not sure how they'll do it. I believe there is an additional game this year, but there is also Monday night in the mix too. Under that "triple header" scheme, I would love to see 8:20 on Saturday night. That's 6:20 where I live, which makes for a very enjoyable Saturday evening. That said, it might be a bit cold that late for my Buffalo brethren and sistren out at the stadium (many of whom are on this board). EDIT: Just found this online. Looks like 2 games on Saturday and the triple header on Sunday Wild-card rounds: Jan. 15-17, 2022 Date Matchup Time (ET) TV Saturday, January 15 AFC/NFC 4:35 PM TBD Saturday, January 15 AFC/NFC 8:15 PM TBD Sunday, January 16 AFC/NFC 1:05 PM TBD Sunday, January 16 AFC/NFC 4:40 PM TBD Sunday, January 16 AFC/NFC 8:15 PM TBD Monday, January 17 AFC/NFC 8:15 PM ESPN Based on this, my top choice would remain Saturday at 8:15 PM, followed by Sunday at 4:40 PM. Have a 1:00 game, then 4:30, and 8:20. They took the 1pm Saturday game out of the fold this season and replaced it with a Monday night playoff game Quote

A triple header of playoff football on Saturday would be fantastic IMHO. 2 Quote

Joe Ferguson Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 I hope Bills lose to the Jets. I'm worried sick how the Bills play at home. Josh Allen and the team are absolute dog turds when they play at home. But will be great when they're on the road. Bills are road warriors. Rooting for #6 or #7 seed for the Bills! 1 Quote

Us and Dallas are currently the 4 seeds. With Dallas flexed to Sat this week, not sure if the NFL is going to give them essentially 2 extra rest days...so I do think if it ends up as the current seeding aligns, then we will play on MNF. I'm rooting for anytime on Sunday. Yes I think it's the most fair thing to do by the NFL, actually. And I don't really think they could justify not doing that. Put the 4-5 matchup on Monday Night. It rewards the "higher" seeded division winners (or the teams that beat them) with more rest. I hope Buffalo moves up from the 4 seed so we don't have to worry about that, though. For me, any of the timeslots other than the early Sunday window, simply because 1 PM EST is 8 AM Hawaiian time. Edited January 4, 2022 by transplantbillsfan Quote

Sunday at 1pm next, then Sunday at 4pm and Monday being least desired. Yep! On Sat. ,you can be all amped up and slowly(post game) regain your sanity until work on Monday. With each advance of scheduled kick-off, the time you have to "normalize" is reduced, until, by Tuesday, you're worthless for the next few days. 1 Quote

The temp that night is supposed to be 17 degrees and moderately windy. That's just cruel to everyone involved. I don't think this even figures into game time playoff decisions by the NFL. I've seen too many extremely cold playoff night games in places like Green Bay and Chicago to think otherwise. You woukd think an organization that loves the fans so much would take this into consideration. Quote

ManCrushPassRush Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 (edited) The 4pm games are NFC games. The Sunday 1:05 game will be AFC as well as the Saturday 8:15 in order to have an AFC on Saturday. So the two bolded are guaranteed AFC. The Sunday and Monday 8:15 will be a toss up over which conference gets it. Date Matchup Time (ET) TV Saturday, January 15 AFC 8:15 PM TBD Sunday, January 16 AFC 1:05 PM TBD Sunday, January 16 AFC/NFC 8:15 PM TBD Monday, January 17 AFC/NFC 8:15 PM ESPN Edited January 4, 2022 by ManCrushPassRush Quote

I won't miss a 1pm on a SATURDAY game at all but will enjoy the football weekend being extended to a 3rd day in a row. And I enjoy night games anyway, as long as that is not the Bills game. I think we will play on Saturday. Quote

Then have a news report about dozens of eggs hidden outside stadium which had gone rotten. 5 hours ago, transplantbillsfan said: For me, any of the timeslots other than the early Sunday window, simply because 1 PM EST is 8 AM Hawaiian time. I have done 8 AM Hawaiian time breakfast. One restaurant had a 12 egg breakfast which if you finished was free. The problem was it had other things in it as well including potatoes. Quote
