Did you really just say that??? That “one mistake” could have ruined that woman’s life for all we know. Do you have any idea how traumatic rape can be? Sometimes people just astound me. 2 Quote
Rochesterfan Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 I will never understand the Cleveland mindset in this game. Pittsburgh dominates them in the regular season year after year. Mayfield is hurt and your team is eliminated - why play Mayfield at all this game or at least get him out after that horrific 1st quarter. These last 2 games were the perfect time to let the back-up play and see if it is all Baker or the coaching staff that is the issue. I give Baker credit for trying to play, but at some point even with the injury - his play becomes the narrative. It has gotten to the point where the fans seem to want him gone because of his play - whether the injury had something to do with it or not. He has also had issues with multiple teammates this year (Beckham and Hunt at minimum) and there are now questions of if this is another Goff/McVay situation where the coach doesn’t trust his own QB. Something needs to change - they are once again negative in point differential, gave up nearly 50 sacks with what is supposed to be a top end o-line coupled with a top end running game. What they need to know - is Mayfield the problem or is it the Stefanski offense that focuses on rushing and TE play. It created issues in Minnesota with WRs because they felt not included in the gameplan and the same thing is happening in Cleveland and Baker is getting the blame. That is a talented team of individuals, but they are not a team and it cost them again this year. Quote

Going into the 3rd quarter, Cleveland's RB Nick Chubb had a 5.8 YPC avg, that with 10 carries and ended the game with a 4.8 YPC avg with only 12 carries. When you have a starting QB that dinged up and the highest paid backup in the league...why not sit the starter and play the backup?? Not only that, why not run the ball down the Steelers throats?? It was like the Bills OC was running that offense this week. Or, as others pointed out...perhaps the HC wanted to point out the flaws in the current starting QB... that he isn't worthy of a big contract. That the team may need to draft a QB again in the first round in the 2022 NFL draft? Curiouser and curiouser! 1 Quote

Nope. Defense making the stop has a greater odds of success than an on sides kick. Quote
