Big Turk
Thought I read somewhere there was a streak of at least one Championship Game team missing the playoffs next year but all 4 teams are now in. How long was the streak?
JohnNord
Yeah I believe it does. It happened only once a few decades ago. After the Tampa Bay loss, I was thinking the Bills would be the team that missed out…phew
BillsFanThru-N-Thru
In an article from September of 2020 it stated since 1996. SF was the one to continue that trend in 2020. So the streak is finally broken. https://www.nfl.com/news/which-championship-sunday-team-is-most-likely-to-miss-the-2020-nfl-playoffs-chie
UKBillFan
Would like us to finish above seventh seed so we can say we would have been in the Play Offs under the old system as well as the new. Should be possible!
BreezeMafia
All the way back to the 1995 season - IND vs PIT, SF vs DAL, each made playoffs again in '96. 1996 Championship games were CAR vs GB, JAX vs NE. CAR misses in '97. Each season forward, in the next season one of the previous years conference championships teams misses playoffs. 1
