Here are his last 4 home games:

11/21 v Indy: 21-35 60%  209 yds  2TD 2INT

12/6 v NE:  15-30 50% 145 yds 1TD 1INT

12/19 v Car: 19-34  55% 210 yds 3TD 1INT

1/2 v Atl:  11-26 42% 120 yds 0TD 3INT

2 Wins 2 losses

66-125  52%

684 yards passing

6 TDs 7 INTs

Add the Pittsburgh game and you have just 3 games at home you can call solid performances thru the air - Washington Houston and Miami.   Worth noting it was windy v Washington and rainy v Houston.

21 of his 35 passing TDs are on the road.

8 of those 14 at home were in 3 games.

And 7 of his 15 INTs have been in those 4 home games.

Maybe just fluky....but what are they doing to prep game week - are we worrying too much about the weather?  Why was he throwing so hard on some throws today that didn't need to be?

And yes it's worth noting that 3 of those recent teams have good to great defenses.

Just really odd considering up to today he was probably a top 3 MVP candidate and still might be the numbers are there but the drop off here at home in December....odd.

And yes....the weather plays A role.

But maybe the bigger part of it is Josh is trying too hard to put on a show for the home crowd.  Forces too much.  Is not as patient as he is on the road - or is easier to get "in a zone" rather then too hyped by the home crowd - that might actually be something he still needs to figure out.

You could tell today in the first half the Bills were definitely trying to put on a show with fancy or trick plays. Some of that was Josh, some of that on Daboll’s play calls. Trying to be like the Chiefs. It didn’t work well and in fact I think it fired up the Falcons for a bit. They just didn’t have enough talent to make us pay for it later on fortunately.

Made a comment to my brother and friend that Josh seems jacked up at home and maybe needs a Xanax before games at home.  Maybe  the way we ran ball in second half and late in NE a game will make him realize that he doesn’t have to do it all and needs to take into account the weather.  Can’t be zipping balls to receivers when ball is wet and cold.  What amazed me yesterday was his first few passes hit the mark perfect but than it was balls going through receiver hands, flying high etc.

He tries to get to amped in front of the hometown fans that’s all cause on the road when he just concentrated on executing the game plan he’s the best player on the field…and he’s gone against the likes of Brady, The Hoodie, Patty Mahomes, etc…

I said yesterday on the GDT (or somewhere) whether finishing behind the Pats and having to go on the road may not be a bad thing. Jacksonville excluded, our away performances seem much better than those at home - narrow defeats to Titans and Bucs, which on a slip and dodgy officiating could have been two wins, plus comfortable victories over the Chiefs, Pats and, albeit injury strewn, Saints who still have an strong defense. When compare that to the home performances and we have the limp start to the season against Steelers, the low scoring loss to the Pats, being blown out by the Colts plus the figures above.

But what’s changed from last year? Was the weather better? But it was hardly dreadful against the Steelers. We only lost one game all season at home in 2020, a nine point loss to the Chiefs. Something isn’t right this year in comparison so maybe a trip elsewhere wouldn’t be such a bad thing. I’ll cling onto that should the unthinkable happen next Sunday.

I just rewatched the game from yesterday. What the passing stats might suggest isn't close to how Allen actually played in that game.

He was still the best player on the field and an integral reason why they won.

As the Bills head into the playoffs, my concerns are not about Allen.

Josh was the reason the Bills won yesterday yet again. WRs dropped passes early. He always zips the ball in there ; so does Rodgers. Throw out the NE Monday night game-that was a windstorm. More than Josh, I’d look to the obvious and that’s the putrid weather all our home games have been played in this year. A bit fluky, yes but it seems our WRs just don’t play well in bad weather. Sure, some of Dabolls play calls seemed odd in a few of these contests. Weather seems a bigger disadvantage for this team than playing on the road in good conditions.

He was throwing it with WAY too much velocity early on. It’s extremely difficult for any receiver to catch those throws when it’s that cold outside. The one through Diggs’s hands in the EZ was blistering to the point of being uncatchable.

Please. This is the NFL and Diggs is an upper echelon receiver. The ball should have been caught.

Yadda yadda yadda ... NFL players should catch every throw. When 4 passes whistle through different receivers' hands in the course of one quarter, the constant ain't the receiver, it's the QB.

Nope. Diggs should have caught that one though.

Dabol was feeling full of himself with some of those play calls.

It should have been caught.

It shouldn’t have been thrown THAT hard.

They both failed.

Josh didn’t look good throwing the ball yesterday.

If it hits them in the hands and is catchable, it is on the receiver.  You can blame the icy conditions, the cold ball or the velocity of the throw but that is excuse making.

I didn't say he did. But that incompletion was on Diggs. He is one of the better receivers in the NFL and wearing gloves. He should catch that pass every time.

It’s ok to say that josh should’ve taken some heat off that pass.  He should have.
