Mopreme
He could command some money but perhaps agree to a little less to join a super bowl contender and the chance to play with Allen. He would be a perfect addition.

I think Spotrac is problematic when it comes to a player like Patterson, or for that matter a player with a somewhat unique skill set like Milano. They projected Feliciano, Williams, and Milano all as getting more than they did, and while in part that may have been taking a bit of a discount, I think it also reflects both a skillset that won't suit all schemes (thus a limited market) and sometimes areas where stats don't tell the whole story. Yeah I’m sure it’s tough to project it super accurately. Still, even lower at $7M per year I think there is better value given his age and “breakout” during a contract year. Paying significant money to aging vets just isn’t the Beane way.

Spotrac lists his market value at $9.1mil and projects a 2 year deal worth $18.2mil. Seems a little excessive.

He made Beasley a top 3 paid slot receiver.

Patterson will be 1 year older than Beasley was and I think had a better season the year before becoming an UFA, but you make a fair point.
