CSBill Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 Ah, no, I don't think so. But, they're still trying to find those missing frames the FBI removed from the Zapruder film, so maybe ??? 😎 🤪 🧐 Quote

But that versatility is the the reason why he hasn't gotten a shot in the lineup...which is frustrating because the OLine might have played their best game of the year against the Pats with him in there. So essentially, Bates could be a missing piece of the puzzle to the OLine issues but we will never find out because once Ford/Feliciano are back and ready to play, Bates goes to the bench because he is "too valuable to lose". WTF kind of logic is that? 😳😲🤦♂️ I’m guessing there’s only one way you could have started here in 2003 and still make moronic threads like this without getting beat up a lot as a kid. Buddo Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 The OP is inane. I would say though, that it's more than possible that the particular group we ended up with, that performed well, hadn't necessarily been used together before. There have been a lot of changes occurring with the O-Line, throughout the season, either due to poor play, or injuries/covid. My guess would be that whenever those things occurred, you pretty much have to 'settle' on a particular group, to prepare them for the next game. Bates simply hasn't had the opportunity previously. 1 Quote

BuffaloBillyG Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 (edited) This is the 1st thread I saw in 2022. 2022 is going to be an odd little year. Edited January 1, 2022 by No Place To Hyde 1 Quote
hondo in seattle Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 According to Sigmund Freud, we all have a Thanatos/Death instinct that drives us toward destructive behaviors. Maybe McD picked on a classmate when he was in the 3rd grade and now he's overwhelmed by guilt. So he purposely sabotages his own success because he feels unworthy of a shot at the Super Bowl. Or, then again, maybe McD, Daboll, and Johnson continually evaluate their offensive linemen and have decided the best starting five doesn't include Bates at this time. I don't know. It could be either one. Maybe 50-50. 3 Quote
BillnutinHouston Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 I was wondering when someone would start a Rick Bates thread. 😄 1 Quote
without a drought Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 Is McD sabotaging the team by not letting Davis Webb take over for Daboll, Dorsey and Allen. Seems weird that he continues to throw away money at those three when Davis is basically a coach and can emulate any QB. Quote
Jerry Jabber Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 Sabotaging the O-line? I didn’t know Doug Marrone was back with the Bills? 3 Quote
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 Buffalo Bills @BuffaloBills A win on Sunday would give us our third consecutive season with 10 or more victories. Sabotage? If that’s sabotage I'm asking for more Quote
Big Turk Posted January 1, 2022 Author Posted January 1, 2022 To be clear...I am not saying he is "intentionally" sabotaging the team...more in a way where his refusal to even consider using Bates unless absolutely necessary could be holding back the OLine from performing better. Kinda like starting Peterman was a bad idea? Twice... 1 Quote
