In what universe is Pittsburgh nicer than Seattle?

I live in Seattle. Don’t love it, but yeah I second your thought. It’s better than Pittsburgh.

It'll probably cost a pair of 1st Rounders for Russ. Jets & Giants certainly have the firepower, but no way would Seattle take Zach Wilson even if he came with a 1st.

Oh really?  Who are the “good QB candidates” who are going to go there?  They are probably going to have to draft and develop someone, just like most other teams….

Depends… you see a lot of names being tossed out there…Rodgers, Wilson, Watson, Mayfield, Tua…etc.  Who knows if they are really available but it seems some big names “could” be available

None of those guys is a free agent.

Calling it now:  Someone is going to trade a bounty to get Russ based on who he used to be then realize he is not that guy anymore and just be stuck in mediocrity while he is there.

He is no longer top 5.  He isn’t going to be able to carry a mediocre roster, he already can’t do that in Seattle.  Some bad team is going to over pay in draft assets, then lack the tools to build a winning roster around him and be saddled with his cap hits too.

See Seattle…rinse and repeat.

I hope it’s the Jets.

I agree with a lot of this except I think that everyone already knows he can't be MVP Russ anymore. He will only succeed where the team is good and I doubt anyone will be that surprised. If they overpay it will be expecting him to be the final piece, like Denver.

Two firsts plus Zach Wilson would be interesting.

Yeah that’s a fair point and I agree that if a team that’s got a SB contender roster ready trades for him, then maybe he can get them over the hump still.

Just not sure one of those teams can pony up the best offer for him.  Does he have a no trade clause?  I forgot it he has any power of where he goes.  Lesser teams are going to have better draft pick packages to offer.  I can see someone like the Giants making a big push for him.

Watson is still gonna be available too, which could influence the market for him if he gets past his off field stuff this summer.

This is a good post. My son likes the Seahawks and we watch alot of their games. Wilson is still good and his oline is not that good, but he misses a lot of passes. He just doesn't make as many improvisational plays as he did in the past.
