I think Pittsburgh is likely to find a good QB candidate only because of the reputation/stability of the organization and coach Tomlin

Absolutely.  You know Pittsburgh's coach, existing team and reputation is a draw.

Lamar to pittsburg, Russ to ravens would be interesting

Any reason you think Jackson is leaving the Ravens? His payday comes with any move.  I think his payday happens with the Ravens. I don't see Tomlin changing his offense to adapt to LJ either.

Oh really?  Who are the “good QB candidates” who are going to go there?  They are probably going to have to draft and develop someone, just like most other teams….

Well this late in Russ' career he's only going to play exactly where he wants to play and his agent will make that known.  That rules out teams like the Jets, Giants etc

and somewhat hurts what Seattle can get for the guy.

I could see Russ ending up w the Niners and Trey Lance goes to Seattle with another player and some picks.  Pitt is also screwed at QB and could possibly see them going hard to Aaron or Russ in the offseason.

There is a LOT more than football in heading to Jersey. Close proximity to NYC tying in endorsement deals and his wife's music career.

Shocked that more people don't understand that for many (and I'd estimate it's a strong majority) of players couldn't care less about who the play for or feel they "must have" a championship. 30 years ago, sure. These days many are more aligned with exposure and making the best money possible in their career setting up potential after career possibilities. That happens for a guy like Russ in NJ.

why?   It’s nicer than Seattle.  Team would be SB contender with him.

Ciara has been looking to revive her career as I recall   Going to a rust belt city would not be the thing for her.     And yes,  Pittsburgh in a number of ways probably is nicer than Seattle.  But not in the way Ciara is hoping lol.

I think Rodgers ends up in PITT

He’s under contract through 2022.  there’s no way he is going to agree to go to Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh does have the draft picks to make it happen.  It’s just not how that franchise operates…

30 years ago, what you posted makes sense for guys who care about outside the league stuff.

Now, you can be the face of the league in Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay etc.

Post career.. look at someone like Nate Burleson.  He played for small market teams his whole career.

Maybe for Russ/Ciara a market like NY is necessary but that’s also a unique situation.

Somewhere this week I heard Nate Hackett to Denver and Rodgers ends up there with him.

Denver seems the logical place for Rodgers, if he doesn't retire, or stay in Green Bay.  They have talent, draft capital... good group of receivers in need of a QB.

I could see Wilson with the Giants as well.  Their commitment to Daniel Jones this week is a facade.

In what universe is Pittsburgh nicer than Seattle?

I don’t think you’ll see this in Pittsburgh.

Yeah, Seattle has mountains and incredible oceanfront real estate but I’m sure black celebrities would prefer to live in a rust belt city on a bunch dirty of rivers with a median income of $27k because people in Seattle were pissed about police violence against black people.
