Given the distraction he's been........and yes, you likely don't run up around $100k in protocol violation fines without irritating management.........and his ghastly ypc production this year...........I'd say it's better than 50/50 he's slated for dismissal soon after the season. The Frankish Reich
Shouldn't Isaiah share the Game MVP thing with Cole? After all, but for Cole's continuing idiocy Isaiah would have been given one jet sweep and one screen pass. Cole, keep up the good work! 1
aristocrat
Welker got Wall Pipp'd by Edelman that was caught on live tv and Edelman went on to super bowl mvp and 3 rings I think. Bease might have just done that to himself
bmur66
Not taking anything away from McKenzie but I think Beasley could have had just as good of a game. We are lucky to have them both pushing each other. Edited December 27, 2021 by bmur66
starrymessenger
If Beas is 100% he’s absolutely a top slot WR and playmaker and a crucial cog in the O machine. Thing is I don’t think I’ve seen that guy all year (when he sees the field). Is it the injury? Has he lost a step? Regardless Isaiah needs to see the field more, as many have said. He has great chemistry with Josh. Daboll needs to find ways for him, which he should be able to do. HappyDays
Beasley isn't as effective on these routes this year. He has lost a step. Given how well Allen throws to these routes I would keep McKenzie as the starter the rest of the year. McKenzie gave us some big plays out of the slot that seem to be less and less as the season has progressed. The combination of the two going forward should be a big boost. Less is more for Beasley so to speak.
Mikie2times
I know it's getting frustrating with the Beasley threads. Exclude him from the conversation then. McKenzie is the best YAC WR on this team in short spaces and the best jet sweep/reverse WR on this team. Despite his small size, he is not easy to tackle and he is exceptionally quick. We really don't have another player like him. Since he gives us a dimension we really don't have, yes, I would love to see him used more and brought back next season. LyndonvilleBill
Was just watching the replay of the Lil Dirty TD catch. What a dart by Josh. Almost looks like it was so hard that it knocked McKenzie back to his left as it hit him in the shoulder. LMAO..

Sanders is on a one year. I feel a little better about our OL after yesterday, wondering if there's not a sub 4.3 wide out available that will keep defenses honest [modern day Beebe equivalent]. I shudder to think with Josh's arm if he had a wideout with Tyriek type speed what would happen. Stand up Mr. Stevenson, yes you…..

If he never replicates that performance it will still live long in Bills lore. On one hand I wonder what could have made McD sit such a beloved (to his teammates) player. I also marvel that McD has built a culture where such a thing is an afterthought. People continue to do their job. It’s because we pay starting money to start Beasley not McKenzie. It’s just silly that our coaches either can’t evaluate the talent or they choose not to due to the amount of money Beasley makes over McKenzie. But this happened last year as well. Kenzie came in and had 2 tds and looked like the better player. I would bet, depending on his contract and all that, Beasley will be gone if it works financially for the Bills.

I feel like Beasley earns his money sitting on the holes of zone coverage as Josh’s safety valve, and McKenzie offers the speed to run these routes. Both roles are important, and I’ll trust the FO to make the right calls. Whatever they do with these guys, WR will need some attention before next year. SydneyBillsFan
Who would have predicted that he would have 11 receptions from 12 targets? That is a fantastic return from a part-time wide receiver.

Beasley probably would’ve commanded more defensive attention than McKenzie did…freeing someone else up which is also valuable. Belichick underestimated McKenzie badly…thought he could man him up with a backup slot corner Edited December 29, 2021 by Generic_Bills_Fan

Paul Costa
McKenzie put himself on the FA map with that game. Someone’s going to offer him some decent money 💰 in the off season . Reminds me of Goodwin a few years back. We all killed him on here . He’s made of porcelain etc… and SF pays him like 7M per.

Totally agree. Love what Cole has meant to this team, but it's time to go younger and probably cheaper for similar production. Isaiah got one big chance last year and scored 2 tds. Last week he deserved the game ball. I will be shocked to see Beasley and Sanders back next year. Time to let Stevenson be FT returner and Isaiah as FT Slot. I'm not sure how he'd hold up as a regular slot receiver. He got hurt about 5 different times in the NE game. He's fast but small and kinda' clumsy. Receiver is a real need for 2022.
