Maybe.

On his last throw of the game he heaved everything he could muster from his 45 and it barely got to the Buffalo 5. That's pretty bad by NFL QB standards  if your best power throw can only go 50 yards.

Or maybe I'm just spoiled with our Mutant Cyborg Terminator QB😂

At one point, Josh threw one away. The announcer said he "tossed it," and he was right. The thing is, the ball went about 40 yards in the air on that nonchalant "toss."

well...i suppose you do hear about rookie burnout towards the end of their first pro season.  the season is longer than it is in college, and the body has trouble keeping up.  maybe his arm is getting a bit worn out, and there isn't wiggle room there to begin with.  even better for the bills if they meet again in the playoffs.

This is a decent point, I think.  While I've resolved not to "worry" about whom the Bills face in the playoffs, lining up against the Pats*** again would be fine.

I don't agree,  this game is a blowout if our defence got stops and every time we scored they would let the Pats roll down the field to score.  The defence was average at best and no question the offence carried us to victory.

Average defenses don't hold teams to under 300 yards total offense and 1/10 on 3rd downs.

But you are right...the Bills average allowing 287.9 yards per game. So by THEIR measure it was average. To most other teams in the league it would have been one of their best performances of the year.

Simply trying way too hard.

And Schopp thinking he is so superior and intellectual.

I don't usually listen to the post game show, but tuned in yesterday and my God, Schopp is an absolutely awful host for that type of format.  I actually don't mind him for the most part during his daily show, but he is the wrong guy to have on the radio after a big Bills win like that.  Hearing him took all the sails out of my wind.

I'm not a guy who checks out other team message boards, but I am taking extra time this morning to soak up the win.  I am off today and I just want to marinate in this feeling for a little bit longer.  That lead me to this quote in the Pats forum:

Think for a moment what makes this quote so sweet.  I don't believe very many people actually think Mac is injured in any real way.  I certainly didn't see anything to lead to that conclusion.  They are grasping for hopeful explanations on why some of his throws looked so bad...

Guys with injured ankles and legs don't tend to run around much...I concur.

Most of the quality callers figured out long ago it was a total waste of time calling these hubris filled narcissists on WGR.

what a memory and Yes I got a huge Huge HUGE t-shirt they used to call "the cotton" as a prize 🙂

The best part about the fishies cute little “turnaround” is that Tua might keep being their QB

Tua and Jones will never be long term solutions for the fish and BB.  Anymore than Baker Manziel is for Cleveland.

I distinctly remember that shot of BB and thinking his lips are about to utter the f-word. Along with last season's phone slam, these are two priceless images.

But credit where credit is due, he hugged and whispered in Allen's ear so at least he didnt come across as a sore loser. It is rightful for him to feel pi$$ed at getting his rear handed to him in his house.

NE dropped at least two INT's that in other years, would have probably been caught.

You know who else throws interceptable passes?  Every QB in the league in every game every week.

That's quite generous. I was looking at fin heaven and there are several posters claiming not only that Allen was not elite yesterday but that Tua is a better QB. I swear... they think Tua is a better QB.

They're delusional.  Too much sun.

i think right now, i'd be happy if the pats were the game.  indy would be the only team i wouldn't want to face first, but i'm not if there are many scenarios where that would occur.  likely too early to tell.

Boy Buffalo could only dream these two in the place of ponderous smartass Schopp and the guy alone in the barstool beside you Bulldog on wgr....

That was a very well reasoned talk show. Honestly really refreshing. I can't listen to the Bills postgame, especially with fan calls. Brutal listen

If you don't listen, how do you know what it sounds like?

the one thing I will say is that I was surprised that Mac was wearing these bionic metal Knee braces. He looked like part robot.

To me it came down to 2 main reasons the Bills came out on top:

1) Josh Allen >>>>>>>>>>>> Brady 2.0.  At least right now, but we remember what Josh looked like his rookie season as well.

2) Bills secondary > Pats secondary.  For example the Pats secondary dropped a couple balls that should have been intercepted.  Bills secondary as usual took good advantage of their opportunities.

Oh and I almost forgot, McKenzie was a freaking beast :)

They won’t be…but New England fans should pretty content.

they split the season series with buffalo

have the same record

probably will make playoffs

with the 5th QB selected rookie in the draft.

Go back to August…

11-6 with Mac Jones.
1.) who wouldn’t take it

2.) who would believe it

They are ahead of schedule by most team narratives.

I think the Bills D needs to do better and not expect our offence to go the whole game without punting to win.  If we had any struggles on offence in that second half there is a good chance we could have lost this game .

Remember part of the reason why Pats only had so many yards is because the Bills controlled the clock with time consuming drives with 35 mins of total game time.  How many 4th downs did the Pats covert yesterday? (5 of 6) and part of the reason why they had less then 300 yards was they only had the ball for 24 mins. Again we cannot expect our offence to play flawless. no punts at all
