Buffalo Barbarian
So sick of fans saying we should get rid of Beasley and keep McKenzie. Here is an idea , keep them both and play them at the same time on some plays. Why get rid of a good player when you can get rid of the worst player on the team, when the offseason comes. And this goes for all positions. 15 5 1 5

cDAVIS
I will say this. Whenever McKenzie is a big role in the offense, teams never really have someone to cover him effectively Edited December 27, 2021 by cDAVIS 4
TOboy
Simply put, because they play the same role in offense and next year we’re going to have to make some tough choices due to the cap. If cap room wasn’t an issue, they’d obviously keep both, despite the fact they rarely see the field together. 8 2

Warcodered
Because they fill a similar role so the younger cheaper guy playing well makes the older more expensive one more expendable. 7
TheyCallMeAndy
Beasley will likely be a cap casualty if he doesn’t retire. I appreciate all he’s done for this team and hope they can find a way to hang on to him.

Just in Atlanta
Both are good. It’s staggering to see the weird either or logic of so many fans. I don’t care about Beasley’s politics. He’s a reliable bawler and is fun to watch. He’s entitled to his opinions. 11 3

Would be great to have the ability to keep both, but at what cost? If it prohibits us getting a pass rusher? Or a solid interior lineman?

Get rid of somebody else, you dont get rid of a pretty good player because another is better after the catch. Beasley has come up big for us and gotten many first downs. Id get rid of Stevenson before Beasley. 1 minute ago, BILLieve85 said: Ever hear of Mr. Celery Cap? Yawn

BILLieve85
Haha keep going. Also, McKenzie is a FA and Beasley is on the books for like $8 mil. So if we keep both, where do we upgrade. Enough with trying to have pro bowlers at each starting spot. It doesn’t happen

Not at the table Karlos
You have to decide if you think he's going to regress any more or not and if he does is he worth the money. He lost some speed this year and he's not getting younger so I can see it getting worse. I love Bease but regression along with his cap number usually means you move on.
