par73 Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Glad someone started this thread. I mentioned them as unsung heroes in a couple different places. Quote

russ t. nail Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Hi, yeah I don't really post, but wanted to after this glorious victory I'd love to hear from someone that re-watches the game and has some factual insight. But today It seemed to me like there were 3 things that helped at the LOS: 1) improved line played in general, but maybe not the biggest difference maker of the 3. 2) Josh making better decisions overall. To me it seemed like he saw the defense well today and made much quicker decisions. He was willing to check down instead of force a big play. And he threw the ball away when nothing was there. It allowed him to keep the chains moving and consistently put up points. I love Josh and he's the only QB I want, and when he plays like he did today I think we can beat anyone. But when he plays hero ball we get mistakes and it puts a ton of pressure on the OL to protect deep drop backs and the defense in general. Him being better today and looking like josh of last year was the biggest difference in my eyes 3) offensive scheme. Daboll actually called an okay game. It looked like he used TE's to help block pass rushers, and nullify the edge rushers like judon. He also has been calling more slants and 3 step drops. This is also huge help to the OL. I'm curious what others think. I do think the line played great and didn't get holds and held up for the most part, but there were other factors that contributed that we should be able to consistently replicate, which is great for our playoff hopes. Buffalo Barbarian Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 No Ford no Feliciano no problems Quote
Orlando Buffalo Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 I will state when healthy 4 of them will be Morse, Willis, Brown and Dawkins. The guard is the only question I have Quote
wppete Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Let’s hope Feliciano is back soon. Ike being out fur the season is awful. Quote
newcam2012 Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Agree. Another observation that shouldn't be overlooked is the Bills had a run threat, used the screen game well, quick release check downs, more motion on the line, more Allen under center and roll out passes, and more misdirection runs to McKenzie and threat of it. I believe this heavily aided in getting Allen more time. Great scheme and game plan by the coaches. Great execution by the players. Quote
The Frankish Reich Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 (edited) I've said it before: when guys are playing at a replacement level, there's literally nothing to lose by replacing them. And sometimes a significant amount to gain. Edited December 26, 2021 by The Frankish Reich 1 Quote
