jethro_tull Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Suggesting a thread for creative offensive play calls. One that has me intrigued is to disguise a pass play by having two down backs and QB under center. The defense thinks "run" and will likely stuff the box. In the play the QB play actions to the right back but he continues to drop back and each runner remains back to block. The two wideouts streak long but the key receiver is the TE who just needs to beat an LB to reach level 2. The options from this formation would be for one of the backs to flare out as an additional receiver or to target one of the wideouts if they are in man coverage. Nothing new but I never see the Bills try to sell a run with two down backs. Quote
LeGOATski Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 I'm all about keeping your best players on the field. For the Bills, that usually means just 1 or 0 RBs. Today, with Davis and Beasley out, maybe 2 RBs is okay sometimes. Quote
716er Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 How about a QB sneak? Daboll saving that for the playoffs maybe Quote
