Maybe he wants to go out in the corn fields or find some cows to tip??

When multiple people say one of the best ways to spend a night in a city is to visit a neighboring state....

It's a five minute walk across the bridge from the Reds stadium, not really traveling to another state when Cincy is literally on the boarder.

Cinci is a hole of a city and dangerous to boot.   I was in a touring band from 07 to 09.  Had a stop in Cinci, played a show, then got a message one of the kids at the show had been shot walking home.

Awful city.

It's changed. I've been there plenty. I read how bad it use to be. I've been going since 2015 and always felt safe. Granted I stay south of Liberty Street and OTR is about as deep as I go.

I lived in Cincinnati for a year and that simply isn't true...I don't understand exactly what these players mean when they say there is "nothing to do" when there are 15-20 places they could go to "party" on any given night. Florence, KY right across the river also has quite a few places.

Define party.

I'll never understand why some of these players make public comments like this.

Even if true it will ultimately alienate fans who are touchy over this type of thing especially if/when the team struggles.

The reality is these guys have more than enough money to afford multiple homes in different states and live in a warmer weather are in the offseason which most players in cities like Buffalo, Cincy, GB, etc do anyway.

Maybe Cincinnatians aren’t afflicted with the thin skin that Buffalonians suffer from …

Keg stands and vomit?  Can’t fathom why Burrow wouldn’t be down with that

My question is- what are the things these people like to do that you can’t in places like Buffalo or Cincinnati? Yes it’s no Miami with beaches but what other activities are missing?

So what is fun for them?

They want to get drunk at high-end nightclubs and take home models. That's the part they can't say out loud.

This is the only answer I can come up with. How many people have the time of their lives in college, yet attend a school in the middle of nowhere? I try to put myself in the shoes of a twenty something athlete, and I don’t understand why they wouldn’t be having a great time anywhere in this country, I know I could. Cities like Buffalo or Cincy probably have thousands of bars and clubs in the region. These dudes could walk into any of those places, and everyone would think it’s the greatest thing ever.

These guys aren’t looking for art galleries, they’re looking for parties. Rock stars used party and have the time of their lives in every city. These dudes are just bent they don’t get to be on a social media with a Kardashian wannabe by their side. They can mostly be found in LA and Miami, which are the cities pro athletes seem to be saying are better than where they play.

They like drinking Piña Coladas, and getting caught in the rain?!

I spent my college years in Cincinnati, and before the pandemic I’d still go back once a year for a Xavier basketball game every year and to meet up with old friends. The Over the Rhine area used to be dangerous, but it’s hopping now with all kinds of breweries and bars. They are packed with 20-somethings having a great time. Across the river there are some great options. I still like the character of Mt Adams, Hyde Park and Mt Lookout.

No, it’s not Miami, NYC or LA, but there are only a handful of those cities in the country. It’s not Green Bay, either.

.

Mt Adams is fantastic and OTR is jumping and with the addition of the brand new 25,000 seat soccer stadium in that neighborhood there are even more options.

To be fair you're also not a 20 year old celebrity, millionaire.  I don't think Burrow is looking for a place to throw darts and have a few pitchers of import.

Unfortunately I am not.

What? He’s nuts. Cincy is an extremely fun city if you are downtown or in Covington, KY just across the river.  I’m headed to Jungle Jim’s next week, the best grocery store on earth. He lives in Mason, that’s why he’s bored.

Every time Bills fans visit me from Buffalo one of the first places they want to go is Jungle Jim's.

My must list when I get back includes Zip’s in Mt Lookout and Arthur’s in Hyde Park. Both locations have other nice options, but those are “my places”.  Dana’s near Xavier is also a game day stop, but I can’t exactly push that unless you have a generous nostalgia influence, if you know what I mean. :) (College dive bar….and it’s a pretty deep dive!)

I have a buddy who worked at Jungle Jim’s briefly. I hear it’s really something! We’ve lived with Publix for decades which is like a Hampton Inn, reliable but unspectacular. The family LOVED hitting Wegman’s when were were in WNY for the opener. It was “an event” compared to Publix. Next trip to Cincinnati I’ll try to hit Jungle Jim’s just to see it.

EDIT: Great! Now I’m craving a Zipburger!

Bro.   I freaking love Jungle Jims.   I see they have a Christmas tree made out of broccoli this year.   Nice.

You know....the normal stuff. Hookers, blow, whippets, donkeys, ludes, kratom, more hookers,  room service, Cristal, caviar spoons, massages, limos, DJ's, whiskey and whatever else the kids are into these days.

Only boring people get bored.

I’ve had just as much fun in Utica, NY as I’ve had in Toronto, ON. Sometimes you just gotta look a little harder.

To be fair, Utica can be sneaky fun.

Burrows was born in Ames, Iowa and spent some time as a kid in Fargo, but he grew up and played HS ball in Athens, Ohio.

Which still means Cincinnati as a bustling metropolis compared to where he's from

Unless LSU has a ripping nightlife?
