Nobody has argued that Edmunds isn't good vs the pass, we all know he can play that role well, as seen in the video. It's run support where he struggles, and other teams specifically try to exploit him there.

 

Aside from the struggles with run diagnosis and getting off blocks, he just isn't a good tackler. 90% of his tackles, he lets the ball carrier initiate the contact with him, then just pulls the carrier down on top of himself. He even does this on the nice play he made in the video on DJ Moore's crossing route. A player of Edmunds' size & athleticism should be absolutely blasting a much smaller receiver & driving through him to the ground. He rarely hits anyone hard, and prefers to either drag or pull them down, usually giving them an additional 2 yards in the process. This just isn't how LBs are supposed to tackle.
