RuntheDamnBall Posted May 3, 2005 Share Posted May 3, 2005 Anyone know, with Everett's injury, if the Bills reach some kind of contract with him how/if exactly it counts against the cap? On one side it would seem kind of unfair if he is lost for the year and he counts against it, but I don't know exactly how else it could work. The same pick as Everett last year was Anderson and there appear to be about 8 or 9 guys from last year's roster with lower salaries. When push comes to shove he will probably end up barely counting against the cap but the Everett salary will not be a huge hit to the Bills in terms of available cap room. For example cutting Josh Reed and having his 400,000 bonus become deadspace will take up about as much room as Everett's hit on the cap.
