Well, last year they expanded the PS roster seemingly with that idea in mind. I agree. If a team hasn't filled it with some foresight and managed their roster accordingly (doesn't seem any team is keeping 1 QB in a "bubble" like many did last year) that's on them. The NFL makes a point to mention there is no eveidence that COVID has never been spread from team to team durning a game (which is extremely suspect). 1 Quote

A possibly poor choice of a word on my part. Though I try to avoid filtered news outlets, the world view I am left with most likely does not correctly portray every day people worldwide. Yes but the fear is the team may be out 15 players, so yes enough to play with PS call ups. But there may be another dozen whom test positive the day after the game, meanwhile during the game they infect a dozen players on opposing team who then do the same the following week. By canceling the game you're doing more to contain it. And by forfeiting and losing a game check may give incentive to get vaxxed. Though I think with the league being over 92% vaxxed overall, doubt there's much of anything could be done to convince the last 8 % to take the shot. Maybe a $1mil bonus payed?? Like I stated already, "my opinion means spit". We all will see what happens to the season with this new variant. Seriously, is the NFL going to cancel a playoff game? How is that going to work? Personally, I have taken all the precautions I can. Every time I leave my home I'm exposing myself in all kinds of ways. My only empathy left is for the caregivers (of which I know many) and those who can't be vaxed. FWIW. 1 Quote

Now the NFL won't even test these guys so now all eyes on the unvaxed. Really unfair imo. Can someone explain to me how unvaxed put others in danger that vaxed dont? Most of our COVID positives are the unvaxxed, Star, Beasley, etc. Not sure I trust the NFL vaccinated #'s. You have liars and cheaters out there like Rodgers and AB; most likely many more liars and cheaters too. Quote

And No, we're not going to do a general discussion of vaccinated vs. unvaccinated spread here. I know anything vaccine related is very touchy, but just wondering why these are still posted while mine was deleted. Just trying to get a feel for what's acceptable and what's not. Quote

But, gonna stay away from the subject other than letting you know how I read it. Quote

Beasley, Klein, Doyle, Lotulelei believed to be unvaccinated Feliciano, Dawkins, Dodson say they're vaccinated Hart has switched teams and played on a timeline not allowed for a vaccinated player, so presumed vaccinated. Ditto Fromm. Trubisky and Kumerow returned in less then 10 days, so presumably vaccinated Love and Gentry unknown (but we think the practice squad guys are likely to be vaccinated in case they get cut and need a new team) So that's 4 unvaccinated 3 known vaccinated 3 presumed vaccinated (by timeline) 2 unknown I think most people are honest and trustworthy - might tell "white lies" or fib about why they're late to work) Rodgers lied to the press but was honest with the NFL and the team. Yeah, you have cheaters like AB and his two buds. AB has been totes cray-cray for a long time. The 3 of them make up 4% of the team. Quote

Threatening to not pay players unless they get vaccinated was their whole goal prior to the season. And now that the new variant is spreading through vaxxed/unvaxxed alike, any validity behind that threat is pretty much gone. There's too much money involved in stadium revenue, TV revenue, salaries, etc for this to have ever been a real consideration. It's all hot air and posturing. It seems more that those who have only an opinion posturing and blowing hot air because that theory agrees with what they believed before. I am really surprised though that NFL did not use this as leverage on NFLPA to pay for player tests since they are ones advocating daily tests on behalf of small minority of players who already need to take daily tests. Buddo Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 Players want to be paid. Cancelling games will stop that happening. If I understand the way things are happening, players on the covid list, still get paid, assuming the game is played. The players will complain about it to an extent, but will have street FAs playing if it still means they get paid. 1 Quote
