BuffaloRebound Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 Bills beat the Pats this week and we’re right in line for the 2 or 3 seed. Kind of amazing when you consider an 0-5 record in 1 score games. Quote

Agree...but that is not good come playoff time...a lot of those are one score games where the team with the ball last has a chance to win. Quote
nedboy7 Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 It's not just the Bills that are underestimated on here week to week. How many times did we read that the Colts suck or the Pats suck or that the whole AFC sucks. Good teams lose games as well. Bucs got shut out last night. We will hear about how they suck. This is all nonsense. Quote
TheBrownBear Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 I saw that while looking at the standings last night and it got me thinking: has the number 1 point differential team over the entire season ever missed the playoffs? 1 Quote

If it was to help teams get players back they wouldn't have forced Denver to play with no QB last year. Quote

They aren't even testing vaccinated players anymore. Baker out--huge bonus for the Raiders. Quote

If that's truly it, it doesn't really make sense then because it goes against everything they have publicly stated for the past year and a half. Baker and Keenum out, who is their backup. Mullens starting...while he hasn't always played great, he is capable of winning in a single game...he played fairly well against the Bills last year and threw for over 300 yards and 3 TDs. Also had a 300+ yard game against the Giants and a near 300 yard game against the Packers last year. Quote

Plus their remaining schedule after tonight is brutal and they might not win another game...Packers, Ravens, Bengals. Exactly why it's irrelevant like I said Quote

It's hard to reconcile these two things. It's crazy that the difference between the 7th seed (bills) and the 1 seed (kc) is 2 games. And then you have a bunch of teams "in the hunt" at 7 or 8 wins. I can't remember a year where there were so many teams with such similar records in the afc Quote

Unfortunately they seem to be stacked in the AFC with the NFC only having about 3 or 4 really good teams and then a bunch of mediocre ones. Bills would be a shoe in for the playoffs there. Quote
