Saxum Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 Each of the Bills last 15 wins have been by 10+ points, the longest streak in the NFL since 1950. https://www.nfl.com/games/panthers-at-bills-2021-reg-15?icampaign=gcr-edi-cpr-gb_app_banner&active-tab=watch Oh and this: 3 Quote
Boatdrinks Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 Cool stat . I just hope they keep winning 1 1 Quote
HurlyBurly51 Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 Now we gotta win the close ones 5 2 1 Quote
PonyBoy Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 Good research, great post! I love blow outs, this board is so much easier to deal with 🥳 1 Quote
Real McClappy Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 I would have taken 3-4 point wins against the Pats, Bucs, Titans and Jags all day though this year. 2 Quote
Mikie2times Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 Honestly, I think if anything that stat shows why so many on the board are concerned. We feast in games where we get ahead and the offense becomes one dimensional. We look like a different team when that's not the case. It's just part of what makes this team feel so polarizing at times. Just now, Buffalo619 said: These cherry picked stats are so out there, they really mean nothing. I think this one does mean something, but it's not good. Quote

We just haven’t pulled out close games. Which is really just an anomaly. It would also be an anomaly if we were 5-0 in all the one score games. Eventually the Bills will regress to the mean which is a positive in our case because it would mean more wins. 1 Quote
VirginiaMike Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 What I tale about this: The difference between last year and this year is the Bills won most every close game last year and have lost most every close game this year. Winning big is great, but against good teams the games will be close. Quote

Freddie's Dead Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 Good thing we didn't ruin it by winning any of the one score games. 1 2 1 Quote

Mr. WEO Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 what are we supposed to conclude with this stat Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 Well certainly not counting the colts playoff game Quote

Sure we are somewhat due for some regression to the mean, but it's not that black and white in my view. No point in commenting further on this one. Go Bills!! Big win, huge game next week. Quote

JohnnyBuffalo Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 And this reminds me of my Statistics professor at the University of Rochester decades ago saying on the first day of class…statistics are the best because you can use them to show something to be great even when it isn’t. And vice versa. Pretty cool huh. He got my attention but I quickly realized- no. No it isn’t. Quote
Mr. WEO Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 Over the same period, the Bills are 1-8 in games decided by 7 or fewer points (0-5 this year). Quote
BuffaloRebound Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 Not sure what it says, but Bills do have best point differential this season. I’ll choose to believe that if we tighten things up, we could go on a deep run. Quote

Underachieving and maddeningly inconsistent. Quote
