12/19/21 Gameday Bills vs Panthers Postgame Thread

Great play calling day by Daboll considering our decrepit offensive line.  Frazier with a great game plan like usual.  Obada and Hyde stood out to me with great games.

Had to win today to get to next week. They will need to step it up on both sides of the ball to win that one.

My biggest concerns:

 

Poor tackling on plays they had schemed well. 

 

Poor pass protection.

 

Josh holding the ball too long and taking sacks.

 

Not the "get right" game we were hoping. CAR lack of kicking game and poor QB play lost a game that could have been closer.

 

A win is a win and we drive on.

6-2 In the all red uniforms... use them every home game.

 

Even my wife said "they look more aggressive in the all reds" ... we could use more aggression.

The trenches will kill us this season though - that and the inconsistency.

3 TDs is not a down game. Josh doesn't have to throw for 300+yards every game. The greats didn't do it

Sloppy win. A wins a win especially in the NFL this year. That said, they cannot play like this against a well coached and disciplined Pats* team. If they do they will probably lose. Also the refs today helped the Bills out a lot. I wonder why? Media? I’m afraid the calls will go against the Bills next week.

Not so fussed about the number of yards. That interception was daft and there seemed to be communication issues between him and the other WRs at times. It happens; people are allowed to say Josh wasn't at his best (and it says a lot that he wasn't and still threw for three TDs) without being drawn into a disagreement all the time. He's human - like everyone he'll be better in some games than others.

Josh played ok. I thought the int was a real bad throw...and a few other times he held the ball too long. A few plays not on him, like the bad pass protection, and that dreadful Sweeney drop.

 

Still all things considered...gritty performance. He is a tough SOB and really proud he got in this game.

Having said that, I really hope Dawkins is back. The line looked bad. Carolina’s D is good, but the Pats won’t be as beatable as the Panthers.

 

I  glad the line got a little better. It looked so bad those first 2 drives.

Just got back to my car. It was one of my most frustrating viewed 31-14 wins I can recall. It is most likely me but man that felt "bad" for a convincing win.
