It was probably in his interest to keep quiet in case another team had an opening and wanted to bring him in.

Now that it's Week 15 and that doesn't look like happening, Yeah.

No. This is how bullying is allowed to happen in positions of power. The coach shouldn't be bullying the player. Motivating them yes. You punch the coach and your out of the nfl so he did the right thing to report it.
