BuffaloRebound Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Josh needs to throw his way more near goal line and in big spots. Dude came up huge. He actually fights for the ball and for yardage unlike our #1 WR 14 1 1 2 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 That conversion showed the heart of this team today. What a play. 5 2 Quote
Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 LOL. I just bumped an older one. Davis needs to be on the field more than Sanders. Period. I think he was today but not sure if Sanders was injured? Tuned out large parts of the second half so may have missed an injury. But all season long Davis has been out producing Sanders on both a per snap and per target basis. I think today he was finally on the field for more snaps as the box score shows 8 targets for Davis to just 1 for Sanders. Davis is also young and part of this teams future potentially. He needs to be on the field a lot. 6 Quote
Freddie's Dead Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Bold prediction: Gabe Davis will be WR2 next year, and WR1 the year after that. 2 1 1 1 Quote
Real McClappy Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 He needs to be our #2 WR here out. This kid could honestly become a #1 as I don't think he has reached his peak yet. 1 Quote
Brandon Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Gabe Davis makes plays every time he gets the opportunity. He needs to be on the field more often, if not full time. 1 Quote
EmotionallyUnstable Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 He needs to be on the field. Quote
zevo Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 sanders stunted his development...Time for him to take a back seat 1 1 Quote
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 (edited) Yep- he’s better for this offense than sanders. I didn’t predict that, enthusiastically supported sanders acquisition and love his approach to the game, but gabe on the field makes the team better Edited December 13, 2021 by Over 29 years of fanhood 3 Quote
Warcodered Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Felt like he really showed up when we changed our play style in the second half, you know when the offense was actually working. Quote
Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Earlier in the year there was a thought that Davis had taken a step back this year. He wasn't as good as last year. I don't think the numbers ever supported that. He just wasn't seeing the field because we were forcing Sanders into a starting role. 1 Quote
Aussie Joe Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 (edited) Great play on that 4th down to fight for the yards.. We really need to see him more on the field .. one of many things that mystify me about this team... Edited December 13, 2021 by Aussie Joe 4 Quote

Process Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 I don't think we've seen enough to say he's the number two wide receiver long term. Right now I think that will be a major need next offseason. But he's earned the job for the rest of this year, without question. 1 Quote
damj Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 I love Sanders... Great vet, class act and locker room leader. But if his injury keeps him out, it will allow Davis a chance to play, and Davis deserves it. This kid can play 1 Quote

Maine-iac Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Davis is probably the best run blocking WR we have also. 1 Quote
Kwai San Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 My issue w Manny is he gets a catch and acts like he won the SB each and every time. Personally that is unacceptable to me. Put the damn ball down and go back to the huddle! Celebrate AFTER the win please. Go Gabe Davis!!!! 1 1 Quote
streetkings01 Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 I said it in the off-season…..Davis needs to be the #2 starting WR……kid makes plays. 5 minutes ago, Sammy Watkins' Rib said: Earlier in the year there was a thought that Davis had taken a step back this year.
