I believe they might have played base even more if Klein had been available. Dodson instead of Klein is a pretty clear downgrade. My bad, it appears they played 43% nickel..........in a game where the offense threw the ball only 7% of the time......and barely beyond the LOS when they did. That kind of respect for the impact of the passing game would have been shocking not that long ago. Now, it's almost expected. But the gains in the run game still affect the psyche of many fans the way it would have 20 years ago. Quote

TBH, in this particular instance I think it had less to do with "respect for the passing game" and more to do with perceiving Johnson > Dodson even vs. the run. Quote

These guys felt like they already knew what he was all about. So much for that strategy... Maybe go with total strangers next time. Yes, I mean when that thought process previously brought you Kelvin Benjamin you just have to keep repeating it. Quote
0017 Posted December 11, 2021 Posted December 11, 2021 It happens, am I upset? Yes! Would I play? Yes! Do you need your toe to throw your fat A@@ on the ground and take up space? Apparently…😏 2 Quote
Desert Bills Fan Posted December 11, 2021 Posted December 11, 2021 Star has poor “ability” , the greatest is avail-ability. And he has none. fooled us last year - shame on him… fooled us this year - shame on us. prior to the start of the season there was concern that counting on Star to save the day on the D-Line , was all eggs in one basket. No moves to bring in another 1 tech…and then we drafted DLine, but no tackles?? Quote

Agreed. Particularly with Klein out, we just didn't have the personnel to counter the heavy set. Guys like Wallace and Johnson got snaps not because they matched up well, but because McD and Frazier didn't trust any other option (Neal/Matakevich - special teams-first guys) Quote

Dodson had 27 snaps, Johnson 22 Quote

Niagara Bill Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 This should have been a short thread. Star ops out due to Covid. Protect je, my family and friends. Play...but do not get Vaxxine to protect me, my family and friends Quote

AlfaBill Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Lots of fat to trim from this roster. Star is definitely one of the strips of fat that needs to be slit and tossed in the organics bin. He’s crap. Quote
